In January 2022, after the first anti-epidemic video work "With You", jointly produced by eight middle school students in Tianjin, was released on a well-known short video platform in China, it aroused widespread concern and strong resonance from all walks of life. Recently, the team has planned and launched the second heart-warming part of "With You".
The second heart-warming part of "With You" is 4 and a half minutes long and is a short video based on a true story. In the short film, three middle school students tell their families or anti-epidemic stories that happened around them in the form of online conference room chats, including medical staff, volunteers, and ordinary citizens, showing the city's people's determination to fight the epidemic and some heart-warming scenes during the fight against the epidemic.
The short film creation team consists of 8 high school students, and the chief producer Dong Yaoyu is a student of Dagang Oilfield No. 1 Middle School in Binhai New Area, 17 years old this year. Other members of the team include He Zihang, Wang Yaomin, Li Jiarun, Ma Zhiwei, Tian Qing, Li Xinyue, Guan Shuhui, who come from different schools in Tianjin and are responsible for aerial photography, ground shooting, cross-air shooting, program poster editing, dubbing and other different positions. The 8 students came together because of their common passion for photography and set up the "Neon Light studio" in 2021.
At the beginning of this year, "Aomi Kerong" raided Tianjin, and when he saw the medical staff charging the front line, the people of the city were determined to fight the epidemic, Dong Yaoyu was deeply moved. "Before, I watched a lot of documentaries about fighting the epidemic, and then I had an idea, can I also use the documentary form to convey these warm scenes we saw to the audience, so I discussed with team member Li Jiarun, the two of us hit it off, and other members also agreed." They immediately began planning and filming the video. From planning scripts, pre-shooting, sorting out and collecting materials, dubbing, poster production, video production... A series of procedures unfolded one after another.
In the shooting of the second indoor scene of "With You", suddenly encountered a power outage, there is no light source, the shooting screen will be affected, in order not to affect the shooting progress, the photographer "second change" the lighting engineer, motionless holding the camera lamp for more than 3 hours, until the completion of all indoor scene shooting. Dong Yaoyu said that there are many "small episodes" in the filming process like this, and the team members work together to overcome various difficulties in order to make the short film presented in the best form in front of everyone. "The filming of the second part of 'With You' has also received strong support from our school Dagang Oilfield No. 1 Middle School, and some students with artistic talents in the school have also participated in the plot performance, thank you very much!" Dong Yao said gratefully.
"Through the video film "With You", everyone can deeply feel the hard work of medical staff during the anti-epidemic period and the spirit of the people of Tianjin to fight the epidemic. Tell all the people who are fighting in the front line of the fight against the "epidemic", no matter what kind of difficulties they face, we are with you, face the haze together, and look forward to the sunshine sprinkling all over the city. Dong Yao also said that he is very grateful for everyone's love and recognition of the first part of "With You", during which some of the opinions and suggestions put forward by the audience will be revised and improved in the second and third parts of "With You". The third part of "With You" is also in simultaneous preparation, mainly telling the scene of the city restarting after the epidemic and people returning to normal life.
In addition to the anti-epidemic documentary, during this year's Spring Festival, the "Neon Light and Shadow Studio" and the National Oceanographic Museum launched the "New Horizon" short video of the Yunyou Hai museum, using a unique lens language to lead the audience to explore the Hai Museum, and will launch more works in the future to show the achievements of the beautiful Tianjin construction. "We hope to show everyone a different feeling through the perspective of our students and through some novel shooting methods." Through shooting short videos, the tourism and cultural resources of the new district will be introduced to more people, showing the cultural heritage of our new district, so that more people can understand the new district and fall in love with Bincheng.
