In view of the characteristics of the frequent occurrence and high incidence of forest-related illegal crimes in winter and spring, in order to ensure the safety of forest resources in the jurisdiction and promote the construction of ecological civilization, the Xinlong County Public Security Bureau gave full play to the functions and responsibilities of the forest police brigade in carrying out the "Rock No. 1" special operation, continuously increased the patrol of forest areas, forest situation analysis and information research and judgment work, "to prevent first, to open the road", successfully cracked a case of illegal logging.
In the new spring of the Year of the Tiger, the forest police brigade found that a large amount of unclaimed and unknown wood was piled up around the two villagers' houses in Zhazong Village, Lazhima Town, and the United County Forestry and Grassland Bureau and the Larima Police Station went to the scene for investigation, and initially confirmed 187 pieces of logs, with a total of 73.033 cubic meters of raw wood.
Of the 187 logs of unknown origin and unclaimed, there must be something strange among them. In the subsequent visit and investigation, the forest police brigade handled the case and lost no time in going deep into the masses to carry out warning education and forestry rule of law propaganda, and through unremitting efforts that lasted four days, on January 14, Xue Mou (male, 37 years old, a native of Larima Town, Xinlong County) who wanted to report a bit of luck and evaded legal sanctions, and Blood Mou (male, 47 years old, from Larima Town, Xinlong County), took the initiative to surrender to the forest police brigade.
After arriving at the case, Xue X and Xue X truthfully confessed that in March 2021, the two jointly hired small workers to illegally cut down trees in the state-owned forest to prepare for building houses by means of chain saws to break piles and break barrels, axes and peels.
At present, the criminal suspects Xue X and Blood X have been criminally detained by the public security organs, and the case is being further handled.
