Prosthetic milk, wearing timing is exquisite

Radical breast cancer resection has large wounds and a long recovery period. Although the prosthetic milk should be worn, it should not be rushed, especially the silicone prosthetic milk, because it has a certain weight, wearing it too early will be detrimental to wound recovery.

Between the 2nd and 8th weeks, when the wound is not healed, a lighter-quality, breathable sponge prosthetic breast can be worn, which can play a role in avoiding impact on the chest;

8 weeks after the operation, after the wound has healed, it is recommended to change to a silicone prosthetic lotion with a certain weight. Of course, if the patient's wound recovers well and there is no blood leakage, it can also be worn early. However, for safety reasons, it is recommended not to be earlier than 4 weeks after surgery.

Patients who are just starting to use prosthetics need some time to adjust to the feeling of wearing prosthetics.

You can start by wearing it for 1 hour on the first day, and then increase the wearing time by 1 hour every day to let the body have a process of adaptation. Generally speaking, after 2-3 weeks, it is basically possible to fully adapt to wearing silicone prosthetic milk.

Before the patient formally wears silicone prosthetic lotion, the wound healing condition needs to be reassessed: make sure the wound heals well, there are no blood stains, purulent or open wounds, and no drainage tubes.

Although the appearance of the prosthetic bra is not different from that of the ordinary bra, the professional prosthetic bra is more prominent in the following points:

Sweat absorption and breathability: with a cotton hidden bag that can be placed with prosthetic milk and sweat absorption, good breathability, convenient and applicable;

Weight-bearing capacity: the shoulder bandwidth of the bra dedicated to the prosthetic breast can better disperse the load on the shoulders;

Wound protection: The bra for prosthetic breast has no steel rings to avoid compressing the wound, and the front chest and armpit opening are high, which can help cover the wound.

If there is a film on the surface of the selected prosthetic milk, remember not to tear it off, and pay attention to avoid puncturing the prosthetic film such as sharp nails during the wearing process;
Do not squeeze or rub the prosthetic milk vigorously;
When not wearing, do not put the bra containing the prosthetic breast in the sun or in a high temperature, it is recommended to put it in the special box for prosthetic milk and keep it properly.
