In order to welcome the 112th "March 8th" International Women's Day and show the industry image of the domestic service industry and the style of domestic service personnel, on February 16, the District Women's Federation and the District Federation of Trade Unions held the "National Life Cup" Domestic Service Skills Competition with the theme of "New Home Economics, New Formats and New Development". 47 contestants from the Longmei Home Economics Service Center and various communities in our district participated in the competition, including home cleaning, renovation of old things, maternal and infant care, cooking display, dumplings and elderly care.
In the home finishing competition, the contestants skillfully stacked the clothes neatly into the storage box; in the old material transformation competition, the contestants used waste wool and fabrics, old umbrellas, etc. to make fashionable clothes, backpacks, vegetable pockets and other practical household items, which not only beautified life but also saved energy and environmental protection; in the maternal and infant care competition, the contestants showed the standardized operation process of newborn exhaust exercises with gentle techniques and gentle tones; in the cooking demonstration competition, the contestants used different ingredients to make beautiful and nutritious platters; in the dumpling wrapping competition, Skilled in workmanship and exquisite craftsmanship, the dumplings wrapped by the contestants are both beautiful and delicious; in the elderly care competition, the contestants are calm and meticulous, and they complete the competition as required.
The atmosphere of the competition was warm, and the contestants showed the judges and the audience their skillful service skills and profound theoretical skills, which fully reflected the high professionalism of domestic workers in our district. A total of 6 first prizes, 5 second prizes and 10 third prizes were awarded in the competition, and honorary certificates and prizes were awarded to the winners on the spot.
It is understood that before the competition, the District Women's Federation relied on the Longmei Home Economics Service Center to conduct online and offline service skills synchronous training. Through training and competitions, it has led women to enhance their self-confidence in the work, and promoted women to go out of the house, flexible employment and increase income.
In the next step, the District Women's Federation will continue to carry out various activities in different forms to further improve the service skills of domestic workers, improve the understanding of the domestic service industry by the masses in the whole district, and better serve the "one old, one small and one family" in our district.
