Shintaro Ishihara

Every New Year, The Japanese always give Chinese some "surprises". Last year, the famous Japanese voice actor Aino Aiyi was exposed, and Chinese New Year's Eve went to the Yasukuni Shrine to worship ghosts, which was called "worshiping ghosts in the toilet" by patriotic netizens. On the first day of this year's Lunar New Year, Shintaro Ishihara, a Japanese right-wing tycoon and the most active anti-China activist, who worshiped Yasukuni and worshipped his ancestors, ended his sinful life. Shintaro Ishihara was the main culprit in provoking Japan's invasion of the Diaoyu Islands, and he single-handedly forcibly brought to the table the Dispute over the Diaoyu Islands, which had been shelved by the Political Circles of China and Japan, prompting China to actively safeguard sovereignty over the Diaoyu Islands and also prompting Japanese society to turn to the right in an all-round way. Let's talk about the life of Shintaro Ishihara today.

1. Shintaro Ishihara

Shintaro Ishihara was born in 1932, when Japan actively invaded China. Growing up in the 1930s, when militarism and aggression against China were strong, he was fascinated by the ideas of aggression against China and the right wing, and developed an extremely reactionary personality. After the fall of old Japan, although the United States carried out democratic reforms to Japan, it was not complete, and Japan's right-wing soil was not cleaned up.

In 1952, Ishihara was admitted to Hitotsubashi University, where he was actively involved in politics. In 1954, he published his life debut, The Grey Classroom. The work was well received by the literati of the time, and he began to emerge in the field of literary creation. After that, Ishihara began to publish his masterpieces frequently, and for his article "Seasons of the Sun", he won the "Wasagawa Literature Award" (similar to China's "Lu Xun Literature Award"). It can be said that Ishihara is also a literary hero.

Season of the Sun celebrates traditional Japanese art with themes of pornography, violence and crime. Its content creation is particularly similar to China's "Golden Plum Bottle" and Japan's "The Tale of Genji". The protagonist of the work is a young man named Tsugawa Ryuya, whose life, personality and deeds are particularly similar to Ximen Qing and Hikari Clan.

Tsukawa is a jerk who spends his days idle and indulges in women, often gathering fox friends to rob female students on their way to and from school. Tsukawa has a relationship with a girl named Hideko, but at the same time, Tsukawa frequently goes to pornographic places and hangs out with prostitutes. When Tsugawa got tired of playing Hideko, he decisively sold Hideko to his brother for 5,000 yen. It can be said that Long Zhao is a personal scum.

Hideko

The evaluation of the novel was polarized in Japan at that time. Ishihara himself said that the novel shows the confusion and degeneration of ordinary young people in Japan in the post-war 50s when the economy took off, and it is a work that attacks society. But the novel is an 18-forbidden novel, and it is certainly unrestricted and ethically transcendent "the kind of sentiment that suits animals" (the original words of the novel). Because of the novel's large amount of pornographic and vulgar content, a large number of popular Japanese writers at the time criticized the work as "extremely simple prank literature, as if it were new literature as long as it destroyed good customs and customs", and Sato Haruo even resigned from the jury of the Wasagawa Prize in protest of giving ishihara the award. But more ignorant people praised Ishihara as the "standard-bearer of the younger generation", and even Japan made a TV series and movie of the same name.

From pornographic fiction writers to right-wing politicians

In the 1960s, ishihara, a "literary hero", began to transform into politics. With the social reputation left by past writing, coupled with a certain wealth, Ishihara had a smooth ride in the election. In 1968, he became a member of the Liberal Democratic Party(LDP) and was elected governor of Tokyo for three consecutive terms from 1999 (similar to mayor of Beijing) until october 2012, when he voluntarily resigned. Before and after his resignation, he formed the right-wing Sun Party, which he later reorganized and merged with other forces to form the Restoration Society. In the treacherous and changeable political situation in Japan at that time, the party had a great tendency to break through the traditional two-party pattern in Japan (the Liberal Democratic Party and the Socialist Party) and become a new third party. Ishihara also became a recognized right-wing apex and big-man figure in Japan, and his status was similar to that of Japan's pre-war japanese right-wing mentors Kita Kazuki and Shumei Okawa.

Ishihara's right-wing nature was truly exposed in 1973. In July of that year, Ishihara formed his own small group within the Liberal Democratic Party, the Qinglan Association, in the form of a blood alliance, with the aim of opposing Kakuei Tanaka's efforts to normalize Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations, promoting the "two Chinas" between Lu and Taiwan, maintaining Japan-Taiwan relations, advocating the revival of the Japanese army, and praising Nazism. He called communism the "enemy" and praised the Nazis as "the noblest figure" and Hitler as the "enlightenment statesman."

Today, when we talk about the Japanese right-wing, the biggest characteristic is that we are fighting the people, relying on the help of the "righteous father" of the United States, and we are slave-like in opposing China in order to show loyalty to the United States. But Ishihara was more right-wing than these "waste" right-wingers today. Ishihara is best known for saying the "No" trilogy. In 1988, Ishihara co-authored "Japan Can Say 'No'" with Sony boss Akio Morita; in 1990, Ishihara published "Japan Still Says 'No'"; in 1991, he published "Japan Firmly Says 'No'". These three books can be called the right-wing holy scriptures of modern Japan, and on the basis of justifying Japan's crimes of aggression and massacre, they prominently propagate Japan's abandonment of the consciousness of small countries, criticize Japan's "weak diplomacy" toward the United States at that time, openly "declare war" on the United States, and say "no" to the United States. It can be said that the main object of Ishihara's opposition at that time was the United States, part-time anti-China. However, with the rise of China's reform and opening up, coupled with the fact that the US "Plaza Agreement" has fiercely educated Japan to be a man, Ishihara's spearhead has shifted from being mainly anti-American to being mainly anti-China.

Third, the apex of anti-China

Ishihara's anti-China campaign is manifested in the following aspects:

The first is to worship ghosts. Since 1978, the infamous Yasukuni Shrine has held two "sacrifices" every year to honor Japanese war criminals. Ishihara worshiped Yasukuni more actively than his ancestors, and participated in every year's sacrifices, never absent. Since Junichiro Koizumi first began worshipping ghosts as current prime minister in 2001, Ishihara not only made a statement for Koizumi, but also wrote to the emperor in the form of a newspaper, kneeling down to beg the emperor to worship ghosts.

The remnants of Japanese militarism today

The second is to oppose humanity and deny the Nanjing Massacre. The Nanjing Massacre was recognized as a crime against humanity in the world, but in 2004 Tokyo Governor Ishihara publicly issued a statement saying that the Nanjing Massacre was a "lie of the Chinese"; the Tokyo Municipal Government passed the approval of the "New History Textbook" that denied the Nanjing Massacre and glorified the invasion, and since then the "New History Textbook" has been admitted to the public and publicly sold, becoming one of the official designated textbooks in Japanese schools.

The third is to miss the kamikaze. Kamikaze is Japan's last madness. Before the end of World War II, the Japanese military had Japanese novice pilots attack the Allies by suicide planes. Ishihara was particularly grateful to these kamikazes, so in 2005 he led the creation of the right-wing historical film "I Am the King's Death", which glorified the kamikaze members who had been brainwashed by Japanese militarism as "heroes" and promoted the spirit of militarism Bushido.

The fourth is to publicize the Theory of the China Threat. Since the reform and opening up in the 1980s, China's economy has continued to develop, and the Japanese right-wing is particularly worried that the rising China will liquidate Japan's war crimes, so the "people of insight" in the Japanese right-wing preemptively put forward the "China threat theory" in an effort to encircle and strangle the developing China. In June 2005, China's nuclear submarine ballistic missile test was successful, and China's national defense force became stronger. In Washington that month, Ishihara proposed that China's act of upgrading its national defense forces was more terrible than the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union, and that "East Asia is now in danger of tension" and advocated that "father and son" unite against China. In 2012, Ishihara visited the United States and put forward the idea of dividing China and instigating "Taiwan independence" in order to prevent China's "threat."

A strong China is the backbone of safeguarding world peace

Fourth, the initiator of the Diaoyu Islands issue

China's sovereignty over the Diaoyu Dao has been clearly stated by Chinese officials, and Mr. Kiyoshi Inoue, a famous Japanese historian and one of the few objective historians, has also expounded China's sovereignty over the Diaoyu Dao very clearly in his masterpiece "Diaoyu Dao: History and Sovereignty". So where is the origin of provoking the Diaoyu Dao issue and thus triggering the total collapse of Sino-Japanese relations?

In fact, it is the strength of Shintaro Ishihara.

Mr. Kiyoshi Inoue's righteous words

In the 1970s and 1980s, Chairman Mao, Deng Xiaoping and other Chinese leaders and Japanese leaders reached a tacit understanding, and China "shelved" the Diaoyu Dao dispute. But in 2012, Tokyo Governor Ishihara, who was already the leader of the Restoration Committee, issued a tough proposal for the so-called "nationalization" of the Diaoyu Islands in order to gain the support of Japanese voters in that year's campaign. In April of that year, Ishihara purchased the Diaoyu Islands in the name of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government from Hiroyuki Kurihara, the "owner of the Diaoyu Islands" who did not know where to find them. Subsequently, Japanese government personnel openly boarded the Diaoyu Islands, triggering a comprehensive countermeasure by China. Then, under the guidance of Ishihara, The Japanese folk right-wing forces jumped out one after another and provoked Japanese nationalism with anti-Huawei slogans, thus the Japanese right-wing forces soared, and the large-scale revival and anti-China of the Japanese right-wing became the main color of Japan after that. So far, Sino-Japanese relations have been completely cold, until today. It can be said that Ishihara relied on his own strength to comprehensively reverse Sino-Japanese relations.

Wen Shijun said

Although this is not something that can be done by one person, Shintaro Ishihara undoubtedly contributed a lot to The road of Japan's right turn, and his status can even be on a par with kita Ichiki, the spiritual teacher of Japanese fascism. Today, Japan is constantly testing China's bottom line and constantly denying history, Japan's right wing can no longer be contained, and the death of Shintaro Ishihara, like the death of Kita Kazuki, will not cause any changes to Japan.
