The freestyle skiing aerial skills national team is the key gold medal in the snow sports of the Beijing Winter Olympics, and is the champion team supported by the State General Administration of Sports and the Qinhuangdao Base. In order to improve the current situation of the venue and provide better preparation conditions for the national team, the Qinhuangdao base launched the skill ski summer training site renovation and expansion project in 2018. In order to ensure the smooth preparation of the national team, before the start of the project, the Qinhuangdao Municipal Sports Bureau played the role of a link and bridge, actively communicated and coordinated with relevant functional departments, and did a lot of work for the approval of the pre-approval procedures of the project. During the construction of the project, the relevant person in charge of the Qinhuangdao Municipal Sports Bureau went to the scene many times to understand the progress of the project and coordinate to solve the practical difficulties of the project construction. In the end, through the efforts of the State General Administration of Sports, the Hebei Provincial Government, and the Qinhuangdao Municipal Government, in May 2019, the reconstructed and expanded Ski Summer Training Venue was put into use, grabbing 2 training preparation cycles and providing a solid hardware guarantee for the preparation of the national team.
In order to continuously strengthen the training work of the Qinhuangdao City Service National Team Winter Olympic Games, the Municipal Sports Bureau maintains close communication and cooperation with the Qinhuangdao Base of the State General Administration of Sports, and works with relevant units to build a strong epidemic prevention fortress for the national team's Olympic preparations and serve the national team's training and preparation work. During the Beijing Winter Olympics cycle, Qinhuangdao Base has received 88 batches of freestyle skiing aerial skills, freestyle skiing snow skills, cross-country skiing, Nordic biathlon, bobsleigh, snowboard U-shaped venues, snowboard parallel giant slaloms, etc., with a total of 3575 people stationed in 24 ice and snow project national teams, creating a new high in the service guarantee projects, teams, numbers and days of the winter Olympic preparation cycle since the establishment of the base, and the Qinhuangdao base has become an important base for the ice and snow national team to prepare for the Beijing Winter Olympics.
