Statue of a young Persian nobleman

During the Seljuk period from the 11th century to the beginning of the 12th century, plaster plaster was made and painted, and this high-relief clay sculpture may have been decorated on the walls of the palace. The aristocratic figure was a young man with a beautiful eyebrow, wearing a gorgeous feathered headdress, possibly a close vassal or a Janissary. 119.4 cm tall (missing foot) bequeathed by Persian collector Cora Timken Burnett in 1956 and now in the Metropolitan Area. It can be said that donations from all walks of life have supported the collection of the Metropolis, which is different from the three old imperialists of the Hermitage in the Great Britain.
