American couple Kevin and Laine Berry recently began restoring one of their houses in Monticello, which was built in 1896. Among the remnants of the former owner, they found a scrapbook containing memories of marjorie Mae Ingram, the former owner's daughter, and her love story with her beloved Clifford Laverne Fluitt during World War II.

The Kevins discovered the story of Ingram's teenage years, as well as photographs, newspaper clippings, telegrams and letters from her fiancé Clifford. The scrapbook mentions Clifford as a pilot who would write to Ingram during the battle, "I love you and am happy to see you soon", but he disappears during a mission when they expected to get married in two weeks.

The scrapbook details the unforgettable relationship, including newspaper articles about every battle Clifford was involved in, telegrams from the initial training period, Christmas and Valentine's Day cards, as well as their engagement announcements, wedding invitations, letters and photos from his family, and letters informing Ingram of her fiancé's disappearance. As the Kevins delve deeper, they also discover that Ingram kept her fiancé's dog tags, flying badges, and other items.

Ingram married another man 7 years after Clifford's disappearance, and their marriage lasted 62 years until Ingram died in 2011. However, Berry found another box containing an engagement ring that Ingram had treasured for more than 70 years, and it turned out that she had kept the ring until the end of Clifford's marriage proposal to her.

Kevin said they marveled at the richness of the archives, not having enough time or space to list everything they found, "we really found memories of her life from someone who kept everything." ”

For the content posted by the Kevins on social media, netizens have left messages, "I can see that she put a lot of thought into the scrapbook, thank you for sharing such a moving story with us", "Someone can cherish the original relationship instead of forgetting it, it is a very touching thing", "This story makes me cry", "It is a very touching story, but I am very sad for them, obviously I am about to get married", "I cried, this is like a movie".
