Live Bar February 16, 2019 The AFC Federation officially announced that the 2022 AFC Champions League group stage will be held, Shandong Taishan and Shanghai Seaport will travel to Thailand, Guangzhou will go to Malaysia, and Changchun Yatai will go to Vietnam.
The East Asia Group Stage will be held from April 15 to May 1 in a tournament format, with the F, G and J competitions to be held in Thailand, the Group H competition to be held in Vietnam and the Group I competition to be held in Malaysia. The host cities of Group J in East Asia and the cities of the West Asia Competition are subject to further notification.
The AFC Champions League group stage is grouped as follows:
Group F: Shandong Taishan (China), Urawa Red Diamonds (Japan), Lion City Mariners (Singapore), Play-offs 4 (Daegu FCvs Buriram United)
Group G: Baton United (Thailand), Jeonnam Tenryu (Korea), United City (Philippines), Melbourne City (Australia)
Group H: Jeonbuk Hyundai (Korea), Yokohama Mariners (Japan), Jialai Hwang Ying (Vietnam), Play-off teams 1 (Changchun Yatai (China) vs Australian FA Cup Winner/Kaya)
Group I: Kawasaki Striker (Japan), Guangzhou (China), Johor (Malaysia), Play-off Team 3 (Ulsan Hyundai vs Thailand)
Group J: Shanghai Harbour (China), Chiang Rai United (Thailand), Jasch (Hong Kong, China), Play-offs 2 (Kobe Victory vs Sydney FC/Shan Confederation)
