Editor's Note:

100 years of chasing the wind and chasing the moon without asking the way home, 100 years of singing trekking has not stopped. Looking back at the past century, the Communist Party of China has grown from small to large, from weak to strong, stepping through the smoke of gunfire, and even more through the green flowers. A century-old big party, the wind is flourishing, the country is big, and the weather is new. From now on, the public network Jinan Channel launched a large-scale series of reports - "100 Years , 10 Flags", taking 10 years as a span, describing the growth of outstanding party members, league members and Young Pioneers born in 10 different eras, and their personal experiences and the development of the times, personal feelings and the resonance of the motherland's great love in the historical journey of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party (1921-2021). In the meantime, through the form of graphics and new media, the reporters of the public network cut through small characters and small stories, showing the touching moments and exemplary power of the interviewees, under the guidance of the party's brilliance, to forge ahead in the morning sun and chase dreams with the stars. Time has me, China has me. Lead the spring breeze for ten miles, the tide will rise for a hundred years and sail forward; with full of enthusiasm, the heart is inclined to move forward with the party.

Fan Mingyu, trainee reporter Wang Yawen, a reporter of the public network and poster news, reported from Jinan

Together with the lights, the curtain opens, one side of the stage accommodates heaven and earth, and several operas sing all kinds of life. Many modern people's impression of Peking Opera only stays at the conceptual level of its Chinese national essence, because it is too elegant, it is a "distant" art for the general public.

Ding Dang, 17 years old, is a class 4 student of the 2019 class of Shandong Experimental Middle School. At the age of 4, she indulged in a performance of a newly edited Peking opera "Li Qingzhao" by Li Qing, the inheritor of Zhang Pai Qingyi, and has since "fallen in love" with Peking Opera. The opera is rigorous, it is impossible to add a word, it is not possible to reduce a cavity, and the road to learning opera is more arduous, and it is necessary to practice and hang your voice every day. The world is accelerating, and teenagers are pushing forward and upward by the times, and being able to do a long-term thing without hurrying is becoming more and more precious.

After 13 years of diligent study and hard work, Peking Opera has long been integrated into Ding Dang's blood. With the energy of youth, so that the national essence admired by thousands of people is no longer "shelved", Ding Dang firmly believes that he has taken this road for a long time, because guarding the green trees and green mountains of traditional Chinese culture is a responsibility, but also a lifelong need to do.

"Stick to one thing, time will see"

——Thirteen years of diligent study and hard work, from ignorance to maturity

Ding Dang's Peking Opera teacher is Li Qing, the inheritor of Zhang Pai Qingyi, a national first-class actor of The Beijing Opera House in Jinan City, and the winner of the "Plum Blossom Award". In 2004, Li Qing won the Performance Award of the 4th Peking Opera Arts Festival in China for starring in the new Peking Opera "Li Qingzhao", and in 2011, she won the 25th Chinese Drama "Plum Blossom Award" for this play.

In 2008, Ding Dang was only 4 years old when he first watched the scene starring Li Qing, and she sat down on the stage and was quickly attracted to the "Li Qingzhao" on the stage. The lights on the stage are scorching, Li Qing is dressed in a costume, swaying and swaying, and the singing voice of babbling and babbling drills into the ears from time to time, stretching and tactful, and relaxed. That dreamlike performance in Ding Dang's memory gave birth to her heart to learn to sing Peking Opera.

Peking opera is different from other kinds of drama, is a comprehensive art with height and breadth, the so-called one minute on stage, ten years offstage, since you want to learn, you have to find a high-level teacher. Soon, under the contact of his parents, Ding Dang became the first student besides Li Qing's disciples, and also formally formed a relationship with singing.

The process of learning is undoubtedly difficult for a child. "Peking Opera has very strict requirements for lip type, and the pronunciation of each word must be accurate and in place, with taste. When I was a child, I only learned the pronunciation of 7 or 8 words in one class. Counting down, a 4-minute repertoire selection usually takes a year to study. "When Ding Dang was 4 years old to 10 years old, Peking Opera has been growing up with him, and it has gradually become a kind of spiritual sustenance for himself.

Stick to one thing and time will see. From simple singing to simple recitation, to The selection of Zhang Pai's core repertoire, Ding Dang did not rush to achieve results and was impetuous, but slowed down the rhythm all the way, steady and steady, until now he can face the crowd to grab an impromptu performance, paint full makeup to stand on the stage to throw water sleeves, walk round, this "qualitative" breakthrough makes Ding Dang very happy and very pleased.

"The more you don't think about getting something, the more you get it." Ding Dang believes that learning Peking Opera is a very mysterious process, and only by calming down can we discover the charm of Opera. A play is a piece of history, and it takes years to vividly present traditional Chinese culture, etiquette and characters to the audience, which is worth it for Ding Dang.

In order to put out a good look, Ding Dang basically has to stay for 10 minutes when training (Ding Dang provided the picture)

"The deeper this road goes, the deeper the likes and attachments"

——There is confusion on the road to chasing dreams, and the clouds are open to see the moon

After all, it is a childhood, although Ding Dang is accompanied by the encouragement of his parents and grandmother, but in the process of learning Peking Opera, it is inevitable that there will be a "rebellious" stage.

At the age of 10, Ding Dang began to enter the voice change period, and she was extremely distressed that she could not find the pronunciation position. At this time, in order to improve the quality of performance, Ding Dang also began to focus on basic homework and body training courses. The basic skills of Peking Opera are four skills and five methods, the four skills are "singing and doing fighting", and the five laws are "hand-eye-body steps". "Qingyi's big moves are not very many, it depends on how to walk on the stage, a movement in order to put out a good look, training basically to be fixed for 10 minutes." The number of exercises such as handstanding, cross-forking, vertical forking, and leg movement is even more numerous. ”

However, for Ding Dang, what is more "torturous" than physical training is the change of mentality. As early as 10 years ago, there were fewer children studying Peking Opera than now, and the National Peking Opera Art Development Center only became a certification body for the national Peking Opera Social Art Level Examination in July 2012. "What is good about opera" "Good soil, I can't understand it at all"... The speaker had no intention of listening, and these words once made Ding Dang feel like an "outlier", out of place with his peers around him. Until she was admitted to the Shandong Experimental Middle School, she found a large army in the School's Jingkun Society.

On the afternoon of November 23, 2019, Shandong Experimental Middle School celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Republic of China and the special event of Peking Opera Art Entering the Campus of Jinan Peking Opera House was held in the gymnasium of the central campus, which was also the 7th Peking Opera Party of the school. "At that time, I was walking with another classmate who liked Peking Opera, and when I walked outside the gymnasium, I heard the sound of Jinghu, and immediately reacted that it was the Peking Opera song "Deep at Night.") Ding Dang was very excited, so the two came to the venue and "peeked" at the backstage side, and the next day, Ding Dang signed up to join the Jingkun Society, and now she has taken the position of president.

Shandong Experimental Middle School has always attached great importance to the inheritance and development of national Peking Opera, and in 2003, the beijing-kunming society of students was established for 20 degrees, and Peking opera has become a part of the school's campus culture, and has also become a "big family" for Ding to study, discuss and exchange national peking opera.

"If you like art, you can't like the surface, that can't stand up to scrutiny, whether you really like it, really invest in it, this is the most important thing." The deeper I went on the road of learning Peking Opera, the deeper my liking and persistence became, and gradually became an important driving force for me to forge ahead. Ding Dang said.

"This love, I want to stick to it for a lifetime"

——Take Peking Opera abroad and let Chinese culture have more vitality

"To a large extent, it was Peking Opera that shaped my temperament." For Ding Dang, he studied Peking Opera himself, and also drew nutrition from Peking Opera and received feedback from Peking Opera.

Just like the nourishment of plants by sunshine and rain, Peking Opera has long been no longer a simple hobby of Ding Dang, but has been fully integrated into all aspects of his life. This taste and temperament, which was influenced by traditional culture, gradually extended to Ding Dang's other hobbies, such as piano, Chinese dance, poetry recitation and even hosting.

Just by virtue of love, how long can you stick to Peking Opera? Ding Dang hopes to be a lifetime, this persistence is not only to hone his internal skills, but more importantly, to let more people appreciate and understand this art, so that opera is no longer "shelved".

"In the past few years, I always thought about how to study Peking Opera well, pass on the charm of traditional Chinese culture and art, and keep it, but now I want to be a communicator and let more foreigners appreciate the beauty of Chinese culture carried by Peking Opera." Ding Dang studied in the United States for two years and participated in Peking Opera performances at the Confucius Institute. It is also this experience that makes Ding Dang gradually realize that art is broad and profound and has no boundaries, and behind every story, every lyric, and every action in the opera is the support of China's five thousand years of culture, which is worth going abroad and attracting more groups.

The first prize of the 2020 "Foreign Research Society Cup" National Secondary School Students Foreign Language Literacy Competition National Finals, the third prize of the 21st World Chinese Student Composition Competition, the National Speech and Debate Alliance (NSDA) hosted the National "China to the world" online speech and writing competition for primary and secondary school students, the silver medal for high school group writing, and the 22nd "Star of Hope" English Style Conference High School Group National Special Prize (National Top Ten)... Ding Dang constantly fights the "battle" in English, and she wants to combine English, Peking Opera and Sinology to create a better bridge for cultural exchanges.

"The earth is a white head, and our people are still young, and with our youth, soften the white head of the earth, although it is still old." Ding Dang liked Li Dazhao's words very much, "I am still in my youth, I can't live up to my youth, I am willing to put the vigorous power of youth into the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese culture, and in the name of youth, I will bear the responsibility of the times." Ding Dang said.
