Hermès's 81-year-old descendant adopted the gardener as heir, but his 12 billion euros "disappeared"

Nicol·as Puech is a France businessman and a fifth-generation descendant of Thierry Hermès, founder of the Hermès brand, · Hermès.

Pueš, 81, was originally an obscure billionaire living a pampered life undisturbed, but a decision last year put him in the spotlight.

It is reported that Pues, who was never married and had no children, decided to adopt his 51-year-old gardener so that he could become the legal heir to his vast wealth.

Such news obviously does not go unnoticed, but now things have gone wrong, and Puesh claims that his 12 billion euros (about 94 billion RMB) shares have disappeared......

According to news on July 31, local time, Puesh told the Switzerland court that he actually had no money at his disposal, and believed that the person who caused this consequence was his former wealth manager Eric ·Freymond (Eric Freymond).

Puesh took Fremond to court, claiming that his 6 million shares of Hermès had suddenly disappeared. In his view, all of these things, which had been deposited in a bank in Geneva 12 years earlier, had been stolen by his wealth manager, Fremond, who he claimed had committed "great fraud" during the 20 years he had worked for him.

However, the court has already dismissed Pueš's charges in its final ruling. The judge said Puesh had "blind trust" in Fremond, but also found that he had willingly let Fremond manage his money, even having access to his bank account at will.

In fact, Puesh has filed three different lawsuits against his former wealth manager since October last year, the first accusing Fremond of withholding information and refusing to return his Hermès shares; The other two lawsuits involve the supervision of Puesh's philanthropy, loans, and other investments.

Court documents show that over the years, Fremond transferred shares through various channels under the authority of Pueš. From 1998 onwards, Puesch transferred Hermès shares to various banks in Switzerland, eventually reaching 6 million shares, or all he owned. It was from that year onwards that Puesch gave Fremond a series of signature authorizations to manage his account.

It was not until October 2022 that he canceled the commission to Fremond and began to manage the account himself, arrange the inheritance, etc., and it was during this period that he found that his Hermes shares were gone.

It is not clear where the stocks have gone, and it is not clear how much wealth Puesh has now, after all, his wealth has been calculated from the stocks he holds.

The loss of about 5.7% of Hermès shares was a blow to Pues, and his gardener should have been quite disappointed.

However, to a certain extent, the gardener should also be more satisfied, after all, he from Morocco originally only provided services to the rich, but now he lives in a villa worth 4 million Switzerland francs (about 32.96 million RMB) on the shore of Lake Geneva, in addition to an apartment worth 1.5 million Switzerland francs. And both properties were given to him by Pues.

Although it cannot be assumed that the gardener was very kind to Puesh in the first place, it is clear that he was richly rewarded. However, this also got him into controversy, including suspicions that he had lured Pues.
