On February 14th, the traditional lantern custom display and performance activity of "Our Festival, Thousand Dragons and Thousand Lions Lantern Festival" was held in Zigong Lantern Park, attracting more than 4,000 people to feel the charm of folk customs and experience the "New Year's Taste" of Zigong.
It is understood that the event was sponsored by the China Lantern Museum, the Artesian Well District Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, and the Zigong Civic Writers Association.
At the scene of the event, fiery red lanterns were lined up in a row, and they were hung with riddles, attracting many people to come to "challenge". Soon, 3,000 riddles had answers.
With the cheerful drum beat, the "Dragon And Lion Dance - Dragon Lantern Lion Lantern Traditional Folk Performance" officially kicked off. The hydrangea ball travels back and forth like an elf, and the dragon lamp also dances, sometimes flying dragon tail, sometimes golden dragon pillar, sometimes slow and sometimes urgent, like a real dragon flying. On the side, the two colored lions moved and tossed, or fell, or jumped, or rolled, and the playful movements made people can't help but laugh, which caused continuous applause on the scene.
The relevant person in charge of the China Lantern Museum said that the event aims to enrich the citizens' festival cultural life, let more people feel the charm of folklore, and create a strong "New Year's flavor". It is reported that the upgraded Zigong Lantern Making Technology Hall will be opened to the public at the end of February, through the upgrading of service functions, so that the public can enjoy more high-quality services and feel the infinite charm of Chinese lanterns.
