Huangsha Village Square performs marquees.

After a few high-pitched, loud screams, the gongs and drums sounded regularly, and in the sound of bang bang bang, a group of "actors" rode "war horses" on the stage at a cheerful pace. The sound of gongs and drums is sometimes intense and sometimes soothing, the sound of shouting is sometimes high-pitched and sometimes low, the bunting flag is sometimes fluttering and sometimes low, the actors are sometimes excited and sometimes comfortable, they trot back and forth through the transformation of the queue, accompanied by the rhythm of the drums, trotting back and forth, through swinging and breaking the line, presenting a battle scene of confrontation between the enemy and us on the ancient battlefield and fighting bravely. The rhythm of the flag bearer's dance gives people a sense of hatred and agitation, which is full of strong artistic appeal. The audience is sometimes tense and sometimes relaxed as the plot changes. The whole performance shook the hearts of all the audiences with grand momentum, and inspired the national morale and patriotic enthusiasm with its unique artistic charm.

Shiyang has a history of more than 500 years since the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty. It has a far-reaching influence and has been included in the compilation of "Wugang County Chronicle" and "Hunan Ethnic Folk Dance Integration". In order to commemorate the patriotic ancestors of the Yang family, the villagers surnamed Yang taught their descendants to serve the country loyally and carry forward the spirit of patriotism, and presented the grand and spectacular war scenes unique to the ancient cold weapon era in the form of a dance of lighting lights and walking horses.

The main characters of Shiyang are Mu Guiying, Yang Zongbao, Yang Wulang, Yang Liulang, Jiao Zan, Meng Liang, Yang Bajie, Yang Jiumei among the Yang family generals, and the expressions of the characters are exaggerated in Peking Opera. Under the excavation and collation of yang qiyuan and other people, the stone sheep marquee can still be fully performed, including the dragon pendulum tail, the long snake array, the Bagua array, the plum blossom array, the tuanyun, the eight horses stepping on the right foot, the double red leaves, the flying goose, the rat drilling hole, the broken village, the south road line array, the great broken sky gate array, the Banshi Hui Dynasty and other more than a dozen formations, which have become precious artistic carriers for studying ancient wars and ancient social life.

In the past, the stone sheep marquee lamp made the skeleton of the "horse" with bamboo pieces and wooden strips, mounted painted straw paper, lit candles inside, usually performed in the evening or at night, candlelight flickering, wonderful and moving; now it is changed to a metal skeleton, covered with colored silk, decorated with LED lanterns, the production process is more refined and full of the atmosphere of the times, lighter and more durable, and the effect of the performance is more glittering and beautiful. In 2007, "Wugang Shiyang Marquee" was successfully declared as the first batch of intangible cultural heritage protection projects in Shaoyang. From the end of January to the beginning of March 2018, the preliminary evaluation activity of "The First Chinese Folk Lantern Exhibition and the 14th Mountain Flower Award for Outstanding Folk Arts and Crafts Works" was held at the China Lantern Museum in Zigong City, Sichuan Province, and the Stone Sheep Marquee was designated by the Hunan Folk Writers Association as the only representative work selected and sent in Hunan Province. After the exhibition, the work was permanently collected by the China Lantern Museum.

The stone sheep walked the marquee, and the horse made a fuss about the New Year. Every Spring Festival, Shiyang walks non-stop and runs through the urban and rural areas of Wugang; on the gorgeous stage, on the crowded street, into the homes of ordinary people, to the most beautiful villages in the new era to bring foreign joy, full of happiness, and a strong Taste of the Year.
