Ningci Line, north to Cixi High-speed Railway Station, Ningxiang Line, south to Xiangshan Damu Bay.
You can think that the Ningbo Intercity Railway has opened up the "north-south artery", which is more like adding wings to the tiger.
It will greatly increase the attractiveness of the main city to the north and south regions. I think that back then, after the Opening of the Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge, going to Xiangshan was farther than going to Shanghai. Go to Xiangshan either by ferry or by detour to Ninghai. And now, in a few years, it will be fast to connect the intercity railway.
The Ningci Line starts at Kongpu Station in Jiangbei District, Ningbo City (interchange with Kongpu Station of Ningbo Rail Transit Line 2) in the south and ends at Cixi High-speed Railway Station (interchange with Tongsu Jiayong High-speed Railway Station) in the north. The total length of the line is about 63.6km, with a total of 13 stations, with an average station spacing of 5.23km.
Note that in the future, the second phase of the Ningbo-Yuyao Cixi Intercity Railway can be taken to Hangzhou Bay New Area.
According to the recent pre-public bidding documents, the construction scale of the Cixi Line and the Xiangshan Line are as follows:
Ningbo-Cixi Municipal (Suburb) Railway: It is the backbone line connecting the main city of Ningbo and the northern sub-city in the Ningbo municipal (suburban) railway network, passing through Jiangbei District, Zhenhai District and Cixi City. The line starts from Kongpu Station in Jiangbei District (interchange with Kongpu Station of Ningbo Rail Transit Line 2) in the south and ends at Cixi High-speed Railway Station (interchange with Tongsu Jiayong High-speed Railway Station) in the north. The total length of the line is about 63.6km, with a total of 13 stations, with an average station spacing of 5.23km; 1 Cixi Depot and 1 Passenger North Parking Lot; and 2 new main substations on the whole line, tentatively scheduled for Cixi Main Change and Longshan Main Change.
Ningbo-Xiangshan City (suburb) railway: It is the skeleton line of the south wing in the Ningbo municipal (suburban) railway network, connecting the main city of Ningbo and Xiangshan. The line starts from Xiaoyangjiang Station in Yinzhou District in the north and ends at Damuwan Station in Xiangshan County in the south, with a total length of about 61.7km, 10 stations on the whole line, with an average station spacing of 6.83km, including 2 underground stations and 8 elevated stations; 1 Hengxi Depot and 1 parking lot in the southern new city; 2 new main substations on the whole line, tentatively scheduled as the main change of Hengxi and the main change of the southern new city.
The most concerned question is when will it be opened to traffic?
The biggest news point is that the construction period is expected to be 60 months, that is, 5 years. "From the date of signing the contract to the date of completion and settlement of the project, it is expected to be 60 months, and the specific start time shall be subject to the written notice of the bidder."
Generally speaking, the period from tender to winning bid is basically within a month.
So, is the most optimistic estimate that in 60 months, in 2027, two intercity railways will be completed?
It is worth noting that Ningbo Rail Transit Group today established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Ningbo Municipal Railway Investment and Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Municipal Railway Company").
The official statement is that the municipal railway company is set up to accelerate the construction of urban railway projects and further improve the city's comprehensive transportation system. Its establishment is a comprehensive start of the preparatory work for the construction of ningbo municipal railway, laying the foundation for the acceleration of the construction of the "double line" of the Xiangshan line and the Cixi line of the urban railway in 2022.
All kinds of indications show that the Ningci Line and the Ningxiang Line have been advancing and have entered the countdown to full construction.
