On the afternoon of February 14, the men's big jump of snowboarding at the Beijing Winter Olympics ushered in the qualification competition. China's Su Yiming ranked fifth with a score of 155.25 points and advanced to the final.

In the previous snowboarding men's slope obstacle course competition, Su Yiming has won a silver medal. His ability in the veneer jump event was recognized as surpassing his silver medal. This season, the 17-year-old won the first gold medal in the snowboard big jump at the World Cup for the Chinese team.

There are three rounds of qualifying, and the best two rounds of results are superimposed to rank, and the top 12 with the best results advance to the final. In the first round, Su Yiming showed a difficult 1800, and obtained a high score of 92.5 points in one fell swoop, ranking first among all the players.
