Blue Whale TMT Channel February 14 news, according to Beijing Daily reported that Tang Zhaozhi, deputy director of the Copyright Administration Bureau of the Central Propaganda Department and a first-level inspector, introduced at a special press conference held by the Beijing News Center in 2022 that as of 0:00 on February 12, 27 major video, social, live broadcast and search engine platforms such as iQiyi and Douyin had deleted 32,376 infringing links related to the Winter Olympics after receiving notice from various rights holders, and took the initiative to delete 227452 infringing links related to the Winter Olympics. Each platform disposed of 3,363 relevant accounts due to the dissemination of infringing content related to the Winter Olympics.

On this basis, the above-mentioned platforms have closed 39 overseas illegal websites and disposed of 52 domestic websites (APP) suspected of illegally disseminating content related to the Winter Olympics in accordance with the law.

Tang Zhaozhi said that in late January, the National Copyright Administration, together with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, and the Cyberspace Administration of China, jointly launched a two-month concentrated action on copyright protection for the Winter Olympics.

On the one hand, concentrated action focuses on rectifying the unauthorized and illegal dissemination of Winter Olympic programs, focusing on cracking down on the unauthorized provision of pirate links to Winter Olympic event programs by public accounts on short video platforms, the centralized bulk uploading and dissemination of Winter Olympic event programs on the network platform, and the unauthorized dissemination of Winter Olympic event programs by network anchors in live broadcasts.

On the other hand, centralized action will be taken to strengthen copyright inspections of key websites (APP) such as e-commerce platforms, key areas such as the periphery of competition venues, and key markets such as commodity production concentrations and sales distribution centers, severely crack down on all kinds of infringement and piracy of audio-visual, text, art, music and other works related to the Winter Olympics, and focus on rectifying the illegal acts of producing and selling infringing pirated derivatives related to the Winter Olympics.

In view of the rapid dissemination of audio and video dissemination and high sharing frequency of Olympic-related audio and video, the National Copyright Administration has specially established a special anti-piracy work class and an anti-piracy rapid response and disposal mechanism during the Winter Olympic Games, adopting a 7×24-hour working mechanism to immediately investigate the key infringement clues complained by the International Olympic Committee, the Winter Olympic Organizing Committee, the right-holding rebroadcasters and other rights holders, and deal with them quickly and strictly in accordance with the law.
