The surf kite simulation game Neon Kite is now available for Meta Quest and Meta Quest 2 headsets via App Lab for $4.99. Developer Alexis Taillon also recently launched a free-to-play version of Neon Kite Lite (casual mode only) on SideQuest.
It is understood that Neon Kite is a super satisfying kitesurfing simulator inspired by the Synthwave genre. With touch controllers, players can take control of their own virtual power kite, gliding through a retro environment scattered with half-rendered mountains and beaches, just like real kite surfing, where players can make massive jumps by pulling back two handles while hitting waves.
The game has a number of different game modes, each with its own unique objectives. Casual mode allows players to explore retro environments at their leisure without worrying about targets or time constraints, arcade mode lets players pass through a series of objectives before time runs out, and survival mode puts players at the mercy of giant sea beasts.
