The Reporter of Dahe Daily learned from Zhou Zhaocheng, a lawyer representing Li Yang, that the reason why Li Yang sued his ex-wife Kim was that Kim posted remarks such as "Li Yang's domestic violence daughter" and "Crazy English is a cult" on the online platform, while Li Yang himself denied domestic violence against his daughter and believed that it was normal discipline, he believed that his ex-wife Kim's behavior caused him to suffer online violence, and at the same time, Li Yang's company suffered economic losses such as damaged goodwill and termination of partners. Therefore, he sued his ex-wife Kim and related online platforms on the grounds of an online infringement liability dispute.
Lawyer Zhou Zhaocheng told the Dahe Daily reporter that he believes that the video released by Li Yang's ex-wife, Ms. Kim, has malicious editing. The cause of the incident was that in July 2021, Mr. Li Yang reported through his daughter's teacher that his daughter had serious problems such as absenteeism and early love, so there was a "fierce verbal dispute" when educating his daughter. However, Li Yang did not commit any violent acts against his daughter throughout the whole process, as confirmed by the full live video and multiple witnesses.
