Old times are "hidden" in old objects
Zhao Yun came to Guizhou from Shanghai with his parents involved in the construction of the third line when he was a child, and then took root here, and in the blink of an eye, it was more than fifty years. Because of regional differences, Zhao Yun, who had just arrived in Guizhou, could not adapt to life here for a while, and the homesickness of his parents also aroused Zhao Yun's empathy. Therefore, he began to consciously collect some daily necessities, such as sugar paper, stamps, sparks, cigarette boxes and other nostalgic objects, hoping to stir up memories through these old objects, "retain" time, and also a kind of sustenance for missing his hometown.
With the growing interest in collecting, he wanted to remember the efforts of the older generation by collecting some old objects, and turned his attention to other miscellaneous items. Old objects that friends and family were ready to discard, items to be found for viewing when he went out, became the object of his collection, and several rooms of the house were crammed with his collection.
Later, he felt that this pile of "cultural relics" always had to have a place to share with everyone to be complete. So in 2019, he deliberately rented a storefront and moved in the old objects in his collection. He wanted to use the lost time and shadow of this small shop to stay, so he gave the small shop a very nostalgic name, called "Streamer Shadow".
Old objects meet people with feelings
Pushing open the quaint door of the streamer, time seems to start flowing backwards. Every day, the first thing Zhao Yun did when he entered the house was to pick a record, the pointer gently fell on the vinyl record, the rings of the years were plucked apart, and the jumping notes told the forgotten times.
This shop is not large, but every corner can make people sigh. The enamel water tank with patterns printed on the grid, the wallet used by grandma, the box used by grandma's dowry, the old sewing machine, Teresa Teng's limited vinyl records, various old tapes, old clocks, phonographs, old television sets, rocker phones, movie machines, film films, hot water kettles with nearly a hundred years of history, etc., each of which can evoke childhood memories.
These old objects, from the late Qing Dynasty and the early Ming Dynasty, to those of the 70s and 80s, are neatly stacked together in his collection, with mottled surfaces and yellowish colors, like frozen fragments taken from the past, quietly accepting the baptism of time.
In the collection, there is a century-old antique from 1910, the American Victory VICTOR Small Dog Brand Big Horn Hand Cone Phonograph, which is one of Zhao Yun's most valuable objects. Relatives in Shanghai knew that he loved to collect, so they introduced an old man who wanted to transfer the phonograph, and he was so happy to hear the news that he went twice before the old man would sell it to him, and told him to cherish it no matter what, because it was protected by their lives. Therefore, Zhao Yun said in his recollection: "This is equivalent to the treasure of my town store, and I don't sell it for any money."
Show the story of old movies
The film projector is one of Zhao Yun's favorite old objects. As long as there are customers in his shop, Zhao Yun will put an old movie for them. A film projector that can support two turntables, a thick film box, a white cloth, focus into light and shadow, let people roam the old times. Zhao Yun's collection of film films is basically red classics, such as "Tunnel Warfare", "Little Soldier Zhang Ga", "Sanmao Wandering" and so on.

What impressed Zhao Yun the most was that he once went to a nursing home to play an open-air movie, and there were many elderly people with Alzheimer's disease in that nursing home, and some of them could not even remember their own families. And when Zhao Yun showed a movie for them in the square, the old people sat happily together, told him their stories, and recalled their experience of watching movies when they were young. There is also an old grandmother, when he played the "White Haired Girl" clip, Hey Ya Ya sang along, and later learned that this old grandmother came to the nursing home for more than a year, did not say a word to anyone, and the children never knew each other, on this day they were so happy to sing, saw the grandmother was touched by the movie played, at that moment, Zhao Yun was also touched, once again determined the significance of his playing old movies, but also strengthened his determination to borrow the collection to take the public welfare.
The speed of renewal of this era is too fast, and the objects that were once given special significance by the long river of history have faded from people's sight, but they carry the imprint of time that nothing can replace, and at the same time, they are also witnesses to the changes of time.
