Nono, 4 and a half years old, snored in long-term sleep due to adenoidal hypertrophy, and in severe cases had apnea. Nono's attention was immediately attracted by the toy car, and he happily got into a big red "sports car" and drove all the way into the operating room, waving and greeting the medical uncle and aunt in the corridor from time to time.

Nono parked the "sports car" at the door of the operating room, the nervousness had been swept away, and in the process of preparing for the anesthesiologist, he also took the initiative to talk about the interesting things about the kindergarten and the unfinished winter vacation homework, and the anesthesia after that was also very cooperative.

The toy car makes the child forget the fear

After the operation, Nono had just woken up from anesthesia, and the doctor gave him a toy as a reward, and there were cartoons to watch, and the little guy forgot to be afraid, and his mood has been very stable.

After the state stabilized, the anesthesiologist invited Nono's father to the recovery room to accompany the child, watching the child not cry or make trouble, and laughing and blinking his eyes with the father, the parents said bluntly "too surprised."

"Most people enter the operating room will feel fear and nervousness, for children, the unfamiliar environment, separation from their parents will make this feeling worse, and even continue until the anesthesia awakening period, which is not conducive to the rapid recovery of the child." In order to relieve the children's nervousness and divert their attention, the Department of Surgical Anesthesiology prepared 4 remote control toy cars, which are remote control toy sports cars, remote control toy electric vehicles, remote control toy tricycles and remote control toy motorcycles, of which remote control "sports cars" are the most popular.

Considering the sterility requirements of the operating room and the hospital sense regulations, after many discussions and confirmations, the toy car to achieve "one person, one use and one disinfection" under the premise of the official start of use, accompanied by medical staff, children can drive the toy car safely to the operating room; after the operation, the children will be sent to the recovery room, the doctors in the monitoring of the child's vital signs at the same time, but also prepared a variety of children like to distract their attention; in addition, for some stable children Eligible parents will be specially allowed to enter the recovery room to accompany them, so as to alleviate the strangeness of the children as much as possible.
