Song Dynasty: Shi Zhinan
The ancient wood yin is tied to a short canopy, and the staff helps me cross the east of the bridge.
Wet apricot blossom rain, blowing noodles do not chill willow wind.
ZhiNan is a poet monk of the Song Dynasty, and his heirloom works are not many, but this masterpiece is enough to prove his good literary skills. This poem describes the author swimming in the spring, the whole text does not mention his mood, but the words are full of joy and ease.
The first sentence points out that the author went out by boat, along the way the green mountains and clear waters, the spring light is soft, and the poet enjoys the beautiful spring scenery along the coast with great interest. When he reached his destination, he abandoned the boat and landed, and then tied the boat to the ancient tree.
The short canopy, which refers to the small boat with the canopy, also implies that the spring rain is long and intermittent. The reason why the poet chose to moor the boat in the shade of the ancient wood, instead of docking near the lively dock or restaurant, shows that the poet likes to be quiet and bored. There are towering ancient trees, blue skies and clear water, as well as grass and inorganic gulls and herons, which are really pleasing to the eye.
