According to the New York Post, Adams said he was unfamiliar with "Drill" rapping, and after talking to his son Jordan Coleman, who works at Jay-Z Roc-Nation, he learned that the theme of "Drill" rap was often about darkness and violence.

Adams said: "I didn't know what 'Drill' rap was, and then my son sent me a video to show it, which caused me to worry. ”

Adams noted that he wants to talk to social media companies to get them to remove the "Drill" rap video from their social platforms.

Adams said, "You have responsibilities as citizens and businesses. ”

Adams said former President Donald Trump's account was banned and restricted by Twitter after he tweeted inflammatory content. However, social media is clearly irresponsible for providing a platform for rap videos that promote violence.

"Videos promoting violence on social media are also one of the reasons for the surge in violent crime, and we have to limit this and remove these videos from social media," Adams said. ”

Adams also said he would meet with some of the top hip-hop rap artists to discuss the issue of "Drill" rap videos sparking violent crimes that are killing more young people.
