On February 12, a reporter from Beijing Youth Daily learned that the Beijing Shunyi Court sentenced Fu to one year and four months in prison for fraud in the first instance.

At about 9 o'clock on August 20, 2020, Fu Mou falsely claimed to know Aunt Li's son, defrauded Aunt Li of a gold bracelet worth more than 20,000 yuan on the grounds that he helped Aunt Li apply for a free medical insurance card and obtained his son's consent to borrow Aunt Li's gold jewelry to wipe the birthmark.

At about 14:00 on May 17, 2021, Fu falsely claimed to know Aunt Zhao's son-in-law and used the same methods above to defraud Aunt Zhao of a gold bracelet, and after identification, the defrauded gold bracelet was worth more than 10,000 yuan.

After trial, the court held that Fu X, for the purpose of illegal possession, fabricated facts to defraud others of property, the amount was relatively large, and his behavior violated the property rights of citizens, which constituted the crime of fraud and should be punished according to law.

In the end, the Shunyi court sentenced Fu to one year and four months imprisonment and a fine of 15,000 yuan for fraud in the first instance. The victim's losses have been refunded.
