China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation City Project Promotion Meeting
In order to thoroughly implement the great cooperation initiative of the "Belt and Road", China has actively developed economic partnerships with other countries in the world. By the end of January 2020, China had signed 200 belt and road cooperation documents with 138 countries and 30 international organizations, including 44 African countries. As Africa's largest economic partner, China's infrastructure projects in Africa generate more than $50 billion a year, and bilateral trade between China and Africa reached $208.7 billion in 2019.

At the meeting, Mr. Wang Daojun, chairman of China Railway Hongji Construction Group Co., Ltd., Hanwang International Mining Co., Ltd. (Tanzania), and Hanwang Mining Trading Co., Ltd. (South Sudan), said in his opening speech that Since its establishment, China Railway Hongji has been in the wind and rain since its establishment, and has forged ahead, and at present, China Railway Hongji has established close contact with the embassies of 47 African countries in China and registered wholly-owned subsidiaries in Tanzania and South Sudan, Africa.
In addition, the Group's companies incorporated in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Chad and Ghana will be approved and relevant licenses issued by the country of incorporation, and the country of registration will give strong support to China Railway Hongji in terms of investment policies, taxes and employment. As an important driving force for China Railway Hongji's economic and trade cooperation in Africa, its subsidiary Hanwang International Mining Co., Ltd. has obtained 3 mining rights, 3 prospecting rights and 8 pre-obtained prospecting rights in Tanzania, and has reached a joint mining exclusive agreement with the Tanzania Ministry of Mines, and Tanzania intends to take out 15 mining rights to cooperate with Hanwang International Mining Company.
Mr. Wang Daojun revealed: At present, China Railway Hongji is cooperating with relevant government departments, large central enterprises and people of insight from all walks of life who are committed to opening up the African market to jointly promote the construction of the "China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation City" project.
"China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation City" takes the government as the leader, the operator as the leader, the enterprise as the main body, the practitioner as the core, relying on the superior resources of the government and enterprises, and at the same time takes the "China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation City" project as the carrier, the major think tanks and industry associations as the link, and the relevant industrial funds as the support, and builds the research and development base, the industrial base, the enterprise headquarters base, and the economic and trade cooperation city operation base as the basic business; with the China-Africa economic and trade transactions, The Sino-African humanistic cooperation, the Sino-African social development cooperation, business services, government services, human resources training, Warehousing and logistics as the leading business; comprehensive experience, urban amusement as a derivative business of the business operation system, and finally become a "smart platform" to serve China-Africa comprehensive strategic cooperation.
"China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation City" with a total investment of 30.8 billion yuan, a planned land area of 3,000 mu, a construction period of five years, plans to bring together more than 50 countries in Africa government offices, Chinese government service agencies, China and Africa major industrial entities, is expected to exceed the annual transaction volume of 100 billion yuan mark, driving employment of about hundreds of thousands of people, and strive to achieve the goal of "one year into the city, three years into the group, five years into the city" during the planning period.
While promoting China-Africa economic and trade cooperation, China Railway Hongji pays great attention to the living conditions of the people in the countries where the project is located, vigorously supports the two major public welfare projects of "523 International Malaria Eradication Alliance" and "Education Export", closely follows the "Belt and Road" national strategy, integrates the resources of all parties, and promotes in-depth economic and trade cooperation between China and Africa.
