According to the Emergency Management Department of Anhui Province, on the morning of February 6, an accident occurred in a warehouse of the Magang Iron and Steel General Factory in Ma'anshan City, Anhui Province, resulting in the unfortunate death of 4 people and the injury of 1 person.
At about 10:20 a.m. on February 6, a silo body in the area of masteel ironmaking plant leaked ash, and when 6 staff members carried out emergency repair operations, the ash bucket body suddenly cracked, and a large amount of desulfurization ash emerged. The staff was rushed from the fourth floor platform to the second floor platform, 4 people were sent to the hospital for rescue, of which 3 people died of ineffective rescue, 1 person had stable vital signs; the other 1 person had minor burns on his hands; 1 person was buried, and at 17:00 was searched and rescued without vital signs.
At present, the cause of the accident is under investigation and analysis.
