According to research institute data, at the end of the Spring Festival holiday, as of February 5, the price of commodity chicken seedlings in the main production area was 1.8 yuan / feather, an increase of 0.5 yuan compared with before the Spring Festival. In the same period, the price of the main producing area of wool chicken is 4 yuan / jin; the comprehensive price of chicken is 9699 yuan / ton.
According to the data of the Poultry Industry Branch of the Animal Husbandry Association, in 2021, the ancestral renewal volume of white feather chickens reached 1.2462 million sets, an increase of 24.3% year-on-year compared with 2020, an increase of more obvious; the sales of parent generation chicken seedlings reached 63.6572 million sets, an increase of 6% compared with 2020.
In 2020, the ancestral renewal volume of white feather chickens was 1 million sets, down 18% year-on-year compared with 2019; according to the calculation of the breeding cycle, the price is expected to stabilize this year. However, the number of ancestral renewals in 2021 increased by 24.3% year-on-year, and the price of white feather chickens in 2023 needs to be treated with caution.

The average transaction price of native chicken was 8.21 yuan / catty, down 4.2% month-on-month compared with the previous week; compared with the same period last year, down 0.1% year-on-year. The average transaction price of black-bone chicken was 7.70 yuan / catty, up 6.5% month-on-month compared with the previous week; compared with the same period last year, it fell by 8.3% year-on-year.
Thanks to the gradual release of seasonal demand, chicken prices in various places before the Spring Festival are mainly rebounding, especially the prices in major sales areas, which have risen significantly.
