QingZhuo appreciates | Zen poem: The Mountain Night Smells the Bell

This is a Zen poem with the theme of the bells of the Zen Temple.

The bell is one of the most used objects in ancient Chinese Zen poetry, and all poems related to the bell have accumulated no less than a thousand sentences. The bells give people an ethereal and distant Zen atmosphere, bringing people into the infinitely distant fantasy world.

Zhang's "Hearing the Bell at Night on the Mountain" can be described as a work of divine transmission, and the poem is full of religious philosophy. On a night when the cold toads were clear and the mountains were deep and frosty, everything returned to silence, and suddenly a huge bell broke through the fence of the poet's imagination. It seems to float from the blue void of the yuanhong sound, it sounds as if it is in front of the eyes, but there is no trace of searching, the front sound has only passed, the back sound has arrived, the vertical and horizontal purification, refreshing heart, people's hearts are opened. The ethereal world is so magnificent, why cling to the delusion of birth and death? The whole poem evokes emotions by hearing the bell. First write the poet's quiet and leisurely, lie down at night; rewrite the cold and pure environment. The bell sounded like a mighty sound from the sky, "the front sound is spring, and the back sound is shaking." Listen to it as if it were visible, and seek it without image", these four sentences are the most divine strokes.

The two sentences of the front and back sounds give people a feeling of oppression and suffocation that cannot breathe, and listening to it and seeking it seems so light, or even a little childish, showing the unique virginity and sexual spirit of an artist's spiritual world. The language is plain and the meaning is mellow, which is a rare work.
