At the same time, the general trend of electrification is also a major reason for the suspension of production in Europe and the United States, and the suspension of passats can also be seen as a way for oil trucks to make way for trams.
In the United States, the Chattanoo plant, which originally produced passats, is ready to start producing Volkswagen's ID.4 electric vehicles; in Europe, the Emden plant in Germany, which originally produced passats, also needs to free up more production lines for electric vehicles.

One of the reasons for this difference is that different countries have different preferences for models, such as the United States likes large SUVs and pickup trucks mentioned above, Europe likes station wagons and hatchbacks, and Chinese prefer sedans.
