Paris, February 10 (Xinhua) -- Paris police announced on February 10 that it is forbidden for demonstrators to block traffic in the city. Police said in a notice on the same day that such demonstrations were prohibited from the 11th to the 14th.

According to French media reports, many demonstrators formed a convoy from the south of France and other places to set off for Paris. Sources say 200 demonstrators have gathered in a parking lot in the southern French city of Nice to plan a trip to Paris, which will then be transferred to Brussels, Belgium, to protest the demonstration. The convoy consisted mainly of private cars, with no trucks.

In addition, in Perpignan, another southern French city, there is a convoy of about 200 people preparing to go to Paris, which includes cars, camping vehicles and a heavy truck.

The demonstrators are said to be preparing to emulate the protests waged by Canadian truck drivers against vaccine pass measures.

Paris police warned that obstructing traffic could result in fines or even arrests; organizing banned demonstrations would be punished with a 6-month prison sentence and a fine of 7,500 euros. (End)
