Officers and men who are short and lean, with their eyes full of energy, and who are familiar with Liu Jun, a staff officer of the training section of a certain duty detachment of the Armed Police Corps Corps, all believe that he is an out-and-out "slash youth." "Slash youth" refers to young people who have made achievements in many fields, and Liu Jun is such a young soldier.
Opening his file, a series of honors are particularly eye-catching: participating in the first commander and staff business competition of the headquarters won the first place as the commander of the detachment; as a squadron leader, he led the squadron to be rated as a "pacesetter squadron" by the headquarters every year; Rongli second class merit 1 time, third class merit 4 times... He wrote the story of a strong army that was determined to win with full enthusiasm.
Make it brilliant with blood and sweat
Every minute and every second of the dream with blood and sweat, Liu Jun still remembers it vividly.
In his fourth year as a soldier, he prepared as a "seed player" of the headquarters for the Armed Police Force Coach Competition. In the face of harsh training, many team members played the "retreat drum". Although Liu Jun was also "invited" by the captain of the training team to step down on the spot because of his unclear expression during the theoretical explanation; because the training method was not flexible, he was reprimanded in public, but he did not flinch.
The harder it is, the more you move forward, and you will not specialize in what you will do. In order to practice tactical oral expression, he repeatedly tried to speak in the hot sun, often practicing until his throat "smoked"; in order to flexibly use various training methods, he collected and sorted out various teaching videos and lesson plans, wrote down more than 100,000 words of experience notes, and constantly broke through himself in the specialization and refinement. In the end, he stood out from the training team of hundreds of people and won a good result in the coach competition organized by the armed police force.
"I was an ordinary person, I was once brilliant; if I want to be brilliant again, I will be an ordinary person again." Liu Jun has always taken this sentence as his motto after the drying.
Before a competition, he injured his right ankle due to the intensity of training and walked with a limp. His comrades-in-arms advised him not to live with his own body, but he did not listen to the advice, only cold for 10 minutes, a few pieces of plaster, and then appeared in the competition field again, gritting his teeth and insisting until the end of the competition.
In view of the problems such as the inconspicuous role of the non-commissioned officers of the squadron and the lack of motivation of some officers and men, Liu Jun explored everyone's real thoughts and interests one by one, tailored each soldier into a talented post, and tried every means to help officers and men grow into talents.
Under the leadership of Liu Jun, 10 people in this squadron have been admitted to military academies, 9 have been awarded the third class merit, 2 have been rated as "top ten coaches" by the headquarters, 5 have been rated as the "five good" advanced models of the headquarters, 2 have won the outstanding non-commissioned officer talent award of the armed police force, and the squadron has been rated as a pacesetter squadron every year.
Lead officers and men to practice hard skills
Not long ago, an anti-terrorist combat exercise opened in a certain area in the hinterland of the Tianshan Mountains. Because the drill subjects in the plan were temporarily adjusted by Liu Jun, the leader of the guidance and adjustment team, the "Red Army" was caught off guard. After the drill, the officers and men of the "Red Army" complained that the guidance group "did not play cards according to the routine."
"The drill is a rehearsal of actual combat, and only by conceiving the situation closer to reality and setting up a more complex battlefield environment can we ensure that the enemy can be defeated in one move at a crucial moment." Liu Jun, who had been transferred to the post of staff officer of the training section, made a loud and vocal concluding speech, which made the officers and men participating in the exercise enlightened.
"If you don't talk about it, it will turn into a fatal injury!" Liu Jun said that only by facing up to the problems squarely and solving them can we get one step closer to victory. This is also the lesson he learned from his position as captain of the squadron.
I still remember when I was the first squadron leader, Liu Jun was assigned to the "old" pacesetter squadron. This squadron has been in a bustling and bustling city for a long time, which has led to some officers and men gradually breeding slack thinking and various negative states: the sentry dozing off and being informed by the superiors, pulling the drill "slow and half-beat", and the way of handling temporary emergencies is not flexible...
In view of this, he pretended to be a terrorist to engage in "sneak attacks" so that the sentries would always be on high alert; he organized officers and men to study laws and regulations, study battle examples, push forward plans, and practice tactics, and constantly strengthened the officers' sense of distress and ability to win wars; he led the team to organize coaches to conduct intensive training for officers and men, and moved the training classes to unfamiliar areas such as the Gobi Desert and the snow-capped mountains and meadows, forcing officers and men to temper and win hard skills.
"You have to be tough, but you have to win." Liu Jun said. In recent years, he has always adhered to extreme and anti-conventional training, led officers and men to successfully deal with a number of emergencies, and won unanimous praise from his superiors.
