With the trade deadline approaching, the New York Knicks appear to be one of the most active teams in the league. Julius Randall is already on the shelves, and the Knicks are expected to make a bigger deal.
Prior to this, there were many media reports that the Knicks wanted to trade Randall. As an All-Star on the team, the Knicks want higher returns.
To be clear, the Knicks don't seem to be actively trading Randall around. According to SNY's NBA insider Ian Bergley, there are a lot of teams in the league that have "expressed some level of interest" in Randall, and it's safe to say that at least the Knicks listened to all the offers.
Still, the odds of Randall staying in New York after the deadline remain high. In fact, management still believes that the Knicks led by Randle can succeed in the league:
"If the Knicks don't trade Randall out by the deadline, it's worth noting that some members of the team have expressed their confidence that if Randle continues to be on the court and plays with vigour, the team will remain efficient," Begley wrote. ”
It sounds like the Knicks are open-minded and they seem willing to trade with Randall. However, if there is no suitable offer, then they will prefer to let Randall take the helm and move forward.
