The national treasure giant panda became the mascot of the Winter Olympics. It is thick and cute, likable, and has become the darling and "friendly messenger" of the whole world. In 1972, when President Nixon of the United States visited China, I began to paint giant pandas, and it has been half a century, and I have drawn countless panda pictures of large and small sizes, which have been circulated at home and abroad, and are known as "painting pandas". I was 88 years old, and I could still draw with a pen, so I made a painting proposition for myself: giant pandas must also participate in the Winter Olympics. But the time is pressing, less than two months before the opening of the Winter Olympics, and when I started to create, my mind was blank, I had never even seen the props of the 15 projects of the Winter Olympics, and the painting of pandas could be used in an anthropomorphic techniques, but the props of the Winter Olympic projects must be real, such as curling, the shape of skis, the size structure, etc. How to get started? I had to learn about it on the TV sports channel, and used Chinese painting and work belt writing techniques, one after another to try, and finally painted five, in the circle of friends sent a bit, please correct. The result was still relatively smooth, and four of them were selected as "Eight Top Artists of Sinology "Building Dreams and Winter Olympics" National Ceremony Artists' Precious Stamp Album". It gave me great encouragement, and the more I drew, the more energetic I became, and I was determined to draw a good panda map of the 15 events of the Winter Olympics.

I drew one picture after another, listened to the opinions, and my daughter was also more concerned, provided some information, and put forward a lot of valuable opinions, so that the work slowly entered the track. After all, giant pandas are different from people, especially the two legs are relatively short, the stomach is fat, it is difficult to draw a beautiful and moving posture, so far, a free skating work has not yet broken through, but also continue to work hard. I want to learn from the fearless spirit of the Winter Olympic athletes who "persevere even if the mountain road is far away.".

I firmly believe that the Beijing Winter Olympics will be a complete success. Due to the haste of time, only more than a month, although I spent all night creating ideas and painting a group of fifteen "Giant Pandas Also Participate in the Winter Olympics", I still felt relatively rough, insufficient, eager for advice.
