Shicun ruins are located 15 kilometers southwest of xia county seat, about 7 kilometers away from Yuncheng Salt Lake, located in the river bend zone of the Qinglong River Old Road, including the remains of the early Yangshao, Eastern Zhou and Song and Jin dynasties, mainly the early remains of Yangshao, which is one of the earliest Yangshao settlement sites found in the Yuncheng Basin and the closest to the salt lake.

The Shicun site has unearthed a wealth of early Yangshao relics, dating from the late Zaoyuan culture to the Dongzhuang type period, earlier than the Xiyin culture, filling the gap in the early cultural discovery of Yangshao in the hinterland of the Yuncheng Basin. Previously, the hinterland of the Yuncheng Basin had not systematically excavated the remains of the Zaoyuan culture to the Dongzhuang type. The early remains of Yangshao found at the Shicun site are of great significance to explore the staging, chronology and cultural outlook of the early remains of Yangshao in the Yuncheng Basin, and the evolution process of the early remains of Yangshao to the Xiyin culture and its relationship with the surrounding cultural areas.

Beibai goose cemetery, located in the east of Beibaige Village (now Baiye Village, Yingyan Town), Yingyan Township, Yuanqu County, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, is part of the Beibai (Goose) Site. From April to December 2020, the Shanxi Provincial Archaeological Research Institute, together with the Yuncheng Cultural Relics Workstation and the Yuanqu Cultural Relics Tourism Bureau, conducted archaeological excavations at the Yuanqu North White Goose Cemetery. The excavation area is 1200 square meters, and a total of 9 tombs and 17 ash pits from the two-week period have been excavated.

The North White Goose Cemetery, which is north of Wangwu Mountain and south of the Yellow River, and less than 80 kilometers away from The straight-line distance from Luoyang in Chengzhou, is the burial place of a high-ranking nobleman of the Zhou Dynasty who was located within the Chengzhou Wang Qi for two weeks. The excavation of the North White Goose Cemetery provides a new reference for the study and discussion of the political pattern of the two-week period, the system of dividing the sealing of the Caiyi in The Inner Jin Dynasty, the burial system of the two-week period in the Southern Jin Dynasty, the ethnic affiliation of the population, and the social life, etc., and is of great significance for exploring the connection between the civilization process in the southern Jin dynasty and the Central Plains.
