Indonesia has seen a surge in cases and the reform minister has advised civil servants to work from home

Watch Indonesian news on daily Indonesia (www.indonesia-daily.com). Indonesia's Minister of State Administration and Bureaucratic Reform, Tjahjo, made two recommendations for state civil servants to work from home.

The proposal applies to civil servants of central and local government agencies in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi agglomeration areas.

The first recommendation is that civil servants of government agencies in the Greater Jakarta region can work from home, in order to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

The second recommendation was to allow 10 per cent of civil servants to work in offices.

"In addition, I ask local governments at all levels in the Greater Jakarta region to tighten access to visitors, restrict meetings in the office, and disinfect the office," he said.
