After the event began, Qin Gang first extended Spring Festival greetings to the audience, expressing his pleasure to see that the American Art Museum continued to co-host Chinese New Year Family Day with the Embassy this year. Qin Gang said that the Beijing Winter Olympics opened yesterday, and athletes from all over the world, including the American team, were competing on the field while also celebrating the Spring Festival in China. At this moment, we are gathering in the clouds to celebrate the New Year with the athletes. Today, we will enjoy the performances of Chinese and American artists in the cloud, hoping to increase the American people's love and understanding of Chinese culture.

Stevensch, director of the American Museum of Art, thanked the embassy for its support for Chinese New Year Family Day. She said that this is the eighth time that the museum has jointly held the Spring Festival celebration with the Chinese Embassy, and looks forward to continuing to cooperate in cultural exchange projects in the future.

At the event, the basic movement teaching of Peking Opera, the teaching of clay sculpture in the Year of the Tiger and the teaching of window flower paper-cutting produced by Chinese and American artists invited by the Chinese Embassy in the United States were played, and many participants received praise and message support. Local Chinese cultural groups were also invited to perform lion dances, shaking bamboo performances and calligraphy displays, bringing a rich New Year experience to the audience.

The "Chinese New Year Family Zone" set up on the museum's website also released the theme of the Year of the Tiger coloring pattern created by the embassy invited local young illustrators, which was warmly welcomed by the audience, especially the children.
