South Korea's rank score Shin Jin-jin hit a record high for 26 consecutive months

On February 5, the Korea Chess Academy announced the January 2022 ranking of grade points, and Shin Jin-tan Jiu Dan set a record high with 10,318 points. Leading second-placed Park Ting-hwan by 297 points, he led for 26 consecutive months and topped the table for the 34th time.

In January, Shin's record was 8 wins and 1 loss, up 8 points from the previous month. Shen Zhenchen played as a foreign aid in the Chinese Weijia League, defeating Zhao Chenyu, Mi Yuting, Jin Yucheng and Ding Hao to help Suber Hangzhou team successfully win the championship and performed well.

Ranking 2 to 5 are still Park Tinghuan, Bian Sang-il, Lee Dong-hoon and Kim Ji-seok. Shin Min-woo is ranked 7th with a record of 5 wins and 4 losses, and 4 wins and 2 losses in the Korean Go League, ranked tenth and ranked in the top 10 for the first time, and Won Seung-jin ranked 11th with 2 wins and 3 losses.

In the women's side, Cui Jing led Qunfang for 99 consecutive months, and in January, Cui Jing had a record of 10 wins and 5 losses, and won the Lakeside Cup Women's Strongest Battle Championship, ranking 29th with 9426 points. Wu Youzhen won 3 and lost 4, up 3 places from the previous month to 80th. Jin Caiying's seventh dan dropped one place from the previous month to rank 91st.

The Korea Rankings were first implemented in August 2005, revised in January 2008, improved in January 2009, and announced at the beginning of each month, becoming the basis for calculating eligibility for the World Series. The first time the list was reached: Lee Se-seok (27 consecutive times for 67 times), Park Young-hwan (29 times for 38 times), Lee Chang-ho (22 times), and Choi Chul-han (2 times).
