They not only participated in the design of the "Snowflake Guide Board" of the athletes' entrance ceremony, but also participated in the repair and improvement of the big snowflake, and finally the design of the snowflake guide and the snowflake torch stand adopted the design scheme of the Blackbow team of the black bow.
Build a snowflake
The core creative concept of this opening ceremony comes from a sentence in the Chinese Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai's "North Wind Line" that "the snowflakes of Yanshan Mountain are as big as a seat".
During the athletes' entrance session, the guides held the "Snowflake Guide Card" to lead the athletes to take turns. Each "snowflake" is constructed based on a Chinese knot, like the light in a diamond, which is unforgettable.
Li Min said that the "Snowflake Guide Card" skillfully combines snowflakes with Chinese knot patterns, and uses line shapes to show a simple, ethereal and romantic ice and snow aesthetic. The Chinese's understanding of "harmony and difference, beauty and coexistence" is integrated into the design of snowflakes.

At first, knowing that he could participate in the artistic and creative work of the opening of the Winter Olympics, Li Min began to collect video and image materials of the opening ceremonies of the previous Winter Olympic Games and summer Olympic Games, and prepared hardware equipment to devote themselves to the design work anytime and anywhere.
The design process of "Little Snowflake" left a deep impression on Li Min, "Director Zhang Yimou's pursuit of aesthetics and the control of the details of the final presentation effect are the ultimate, and every design is an unprecedented challenge." Every time he shows the director a revised plan, he will tell me one by one in detail, and it is common for the lines to be thick, trending, space, and dense, little by little, and it is common to overturn them all. ”

The whole design process followed, and seeing his understanding of Chinese aesthetics presented through pieces of snowflakes, Li Min was full of achievement.
Earlier, Zhang Yimou, the general director of the opening ceremony, revealed that the biggest foreshadowing of the opening ceremony was "the story of a snowflake". Behind the perfect presentation of "Snowflakes" is hundreds of adjustments and modifications.
Li Min said, "We are the snowflakes behind the scenes, and the joint cooperation between the teams brings together creative details to achieve such a perfect visual effect." ”
Song Chen said, "The design is close to the late stage, and we began to reverse the design scheme in combination with the production process of snowflake graphics. Because the shape of the snowflake is too complicated, the small snowflake as a guide card plus the luminous process will blur together during the camera broadcast because the pattern is too dense, losing the beauty of the graphic itself. ”
