On February 6th, the opening ceremony of the art exhibition "Seeking The Three Realms of Art - From Facing Reality to Spiritual Transcendence" was held in Xixi Scenic Area, Dongtai, Jiangsu Province. The works of Dongtai painters Cui Jian, Cui Jin and sculptor Chen Jianhua are presented in the Sanxiang Pavilion, and various works such as landscapes, figures, sculptures and other works are combined with "virtual" and "real", and the situations are blended. The event made a spiritual review of the artists' artistic journey in the 60s and 70s, and the guests also followed the artists' artistic language and traced back to the original hometown of the spirit.
The exhibition line is 165 meters long, divided into three floors, and nearly 60 works are exhibited. The organizer, Dongtai Xixi Tourism and Cultural Scenic Spot Management Committee, said that this exhibition is the highlight of the scenic spot's 2022 New Year art exhibition. Curator Hong Yan believes that this first exhibition is of great significance for creating an aesthetic space in Xixi and recreating the glory of Yanxi Academy, and she hopes that the exhibition of many famous works will allow more Dongtai citizens to get close to the style of many art masters.
Dongtai has a long history and a strong humanistic atmosphere, and is the hometown of Chinese calligraphy and painting. Xixi is the important town of Haiyan from spring and autumn to the end of the Qing Dynasty, the birthplace of Dongtai history and culture, the origin of the two Huaihai salt cultures, the source of the national intangible cultural heritage "Dongyong Legend", and also the famous Dongtai "city living room" and the newly emerging cultural landmarks in the coastal areas. It is understood that Xixi has the Salt Warehouse Supervisor of the Song Dynasty's Three Phases Lü Yijian, Yan Shu, and Fan Zhongyan who worked in Xixi in those years; there is the Haichun Xuan Pagoda of "Xixi Pagoda Shadow Cold Mountain Moon, East China Sea Bell Ancient Temple Wind", there is the Eight-Character Bridge of "Small Bridge Flowing Water People's Home", as well as the national intangible cultural heritage -- the legend of Dong Yong's Seven Fairies, and there are the ancient stories of the world left by the "Three Phases" of the Northern Song Dynasty. The art exhibition is located in Xixi Sanxiang Pavilion. Sanxiang Pavilion is the central building of the scenic Song Dynasty, with a total of three floors, built to commemorate the three Song Dynasty yanshu, Lü Yijian and Fan Zhongyan, who served as salt officials in Xixi and successively served as prime ministers.
In view of the artists' high degree of artistic perception, Dongtai Xixi has built a platform for many calligraphers and painters inside and outside the city to display their creative achievements, absorb the essence of Tianxian Yuanyuan to nourish art, so that the artists' artistic tree will be evergreen, and more fine works will be created. The relevant person in charge of dongtai Xixi Scenic Area said that under the inspiration of the sentiment of "worrying first and then enjoying", under the artistic influence of various artists, taking history as a mirror, creating the future, immersing themselves in hard work, forging ahead, and striving to achieve the high-quality development of Xixi Scenic Area in the forefront.
