Marca: If Wales do not qualify for the World Cup, Bale may choose to retire

The Marca newspaper reported that if the Welsh national team did not qualify for the Qatar World Cup, Bale may choose to retire.

According to Marca, Bel has played very little time for the club this season because of injury and COVID-19 tests, and Bale has played even more time in Wales (232 minutes) than at club Real Madrid (193 minutes).

The Welsh national team will face Austria in the European play-offs of the World Cup in March, and Bale may even announce that he will hang up if Wales fail to make it to the Qatar World Cup.

Bale, 32, expires his contract with Real Madrid on June 30 this year. He made 3 appearances for Real Madrid this season, scoring 1 goal. So far, he has made 255 career appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 106 goals and providing 77 assists.
