On February 6, 2022, Beijing time, the Capital Gymnasium and the Beijing Winter Olympics Figure Skating Team Competition entered the second competition day, with a total of ten teams from Russia, the United States, Canada, Japan, China, Italy, Germany, Georgia, the Czech Republic and Ukraine participating.

In the competition on February 4, the Chinese team sent men's singles player Jin Boyang, ice dance duo Wang Shiyue/Liu Xinyu, and pair skating duo Sui Wenjing/Han Cong, with a total of 20 points, temporarily ranking third, and the United States and Japan temporarily ranked first and second.

Among them, Sui Wenjing / Han Cong scored a game-high 82.83 points, winning 9 points for the Chinese team.

On the 6th, the first to hold the women's single skating short program competition, 19-year-old Chinese player Zhu Yi ushered in the debut of the Winter Olympics.

Zhu Yi was the first to appear in this game, and the track was selected from the Rolling Stones' "Blacken It Out".

She made a mistake in the first action three-turn flip + after three weeks of ice, and finally got a program content score of 25.69, a technical action score of 22.34, a minus of 1.00, and a total score of 47.03 points.

Ukraine's Shapotova, Czech Republic's Bhuzhezinova, Georgia's Cubanova, Italy's Gutman, Canada's Chizas, Germany's Schott, Japan's Higuchi Yoshiba, the United States' Chen Kaiwen, and Russia's Vallieva appeared in turn.

In the end, Valieva ranked first with a high score of 90.18 points, a score of 38.51 for program content and 51.67 points for technical action, winning 10 points for the Russian team.

China's Zhu Yi finished tenth with 1 point.

According to the rules, the 10 qualified teams will first compete in the short program/short dance competition, and the top five teams with the total points will qualify for the final of the second stage of free skating/free dance.

In the previous two Winter Olympic Games, the Chinese team ranked 7th and 6th respectively, and failed to participate in the final as the top 5.

Although the women's singles short program only scored 1 point, the Chinese team accumulated 22 points with its previous outstanding performance, ranking fifth overall, and advanced to the second stage of the figure skating team competition for the first time in history.

In the final, a male player, a duo, an ice dance duo and a female player perform free skating in turn.

The finals are also scored by 10 points for the first ranked player or team, and 6 points for the fifth-placed player. The team with the highest score in all events will win the championship.
