On February 3, on the occasion of the 50th birthday of the Danish Crown Princess, the Danish Crown Princess hosted the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Crown Princess 1972-2022" at Hillerode Frederiksborg Castle, and a new portrait of the Danish Crown Princess was unveiled in the Angel Hall of Frederiksborg Castle.

Crown Prince Frederick of Denmark and Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine attended the opening ceremony.

The portrait, named "Princess Mary," was painted on canvas in oil and was created by Hispanic artist Jesús Herrera Martínez. In 2017, Jesús Herrera Martínez at the Portrait Contest "Portrait NOW!" at the Danish National History Museum Won the first prize.

Placed centrally in the crown princess's study at the Frederick VIII Palace in Amalienborg, the portrait tells the story of the crown princess, including elements from the study and fictional symbols of the crown princess's Australian background – including shadows on the walls where you can see eucalyptus plants.

His Highness visited the exhibition "Crown Princess 1972-2022", which tells the story of the Crown Princess through portraits, personal belongings, and the costumes and ball dresses worn by Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess on special occasions. The exhibition also tells other stories of Crown Princess Mary, who over time have left a special mark on their peers in Denmark.

In addition to this, visitors can also feel the portrait of the outgoing Danish princess and the costumes worn by Christian 9's daughters, Princess Dagmar and Princess Alexandra. Through marriage, the princesses became queens of Russia and queens of England, respectively.
