This drama was written and performed in 1929, based on the meaning of "harsh government is fiercer than the tiger", borrowing ancient metaphors to reflect the tragic scene of the feudal ruling class oppressing the people, causing the people's families to be destroyed and displaced, and the angry cries of the oppressed people.
The plot of the story is very simple, at the end of the Ming Dynasty, due to the war, the ruling class increased taxes, and the father and son of the peasant Gao Liangmin ventured into the mountains to collect medicine in order to pay taxes, and unfortunately were eaten by tigers. Daughter-in-law Zhang Huizhu waited at home for her father-in-law and husband not to return, the official government forced and tightened, the mother-in-law also died, her son Bao Lian was arrested by the government, she fled into the mountains alone, the official government chased after her, huizhu was forced to commit suicide. In the play, Zhang Huizhu waited at home for a long time to go into the mountains to collect medicine, and her father-in-law and husband did not return, and they could not sleep all night, and this singing was sung in this environment. This singing voice has a total of 16 sentences, divided into four sections, and the plate style is composed of a Xipi slow plate, a original board, a two-six and a rocking board. In the first paragraph, the second paragraph, singing four sentences slowly, the rhythm is relatively stable, reflecting the protagonist's uneasy mood of missing his relatives and not returning.
In the second paragraph, from three more, singing four sentences of the original board, the protagonist heard the sound of the wind blowing leaves outside, thinking that his relatives had returned, and he became more and more irritable, and the size of the singing voice also accelerated accordingly. In the third paragraph, from the fourth change, singing two sentences of the original board, the night is late, the weather is getting colder, and the anxiety of missing relatives is more dramatic. The fifth paragraph, up five more, sing the original board to two six, the last sentence of the rocking board, the sky is almost dawn, the relatives have not returned, the anxiety has reached the peak, the speed of the singing cavity at this time reached the fastest, quickly wake up the child, let him go outside to see the movements of the relatives. Several characteristics of this singing, one is that the melody of the singing cavity is beautiful and beautiful, and the feelings are meticulous. The second is the combination of singing and reading, and the emotional changes of the characters overnight are portrayed vividly. The third is to closely combine the drum and the door, novel and unique. In short, this singing voice can be called a fine work of Cheng Pai art.
