On the battlefield, Mr. Peng was brave and invincible, but he was very loving at home, he liked children, but he had no children himself, he adopted the children of his two younger brothers, and the daughter of Zuo Quan, chief of staff of the Eighth Route Army, and the family was also very lively.
According to Peng Gang's recollection, every time Mr. Peng goes abroad to work, he will bring some small gifts to the children and coax the children to be happy, Mr. Peng has also thought about having his own children, but he has not, Mr. Peng has had two marriages, but the two marriages are very unfortunate.
The first marriage was in 1922, when the 24-year-old Peng and Liu Ximei married, he also changed the name of Liu Ximei to Liu Kunmo, the two had a good relationship at the beginning of their marriage, and they lived together in Xiangtan for a while, unfortunately the two did not have children.
What is even more unexpected is that after Mr. Peng participated in leading the Pingjiang Uprising, he embarked on the revolutionary road, when the environment was harsh and unable to take care of Liu Kunmo, and in the case of Mr. Peng's long-term absence, Liu Kunmo remarried under the arrangement of his family.
More than ten years later, Liu Kunmo saw Mr. Peng from the newspaper, mr. Peng at that time was already famous, Liu Kunmo found Mr. Peng, the two did not know what to say for a while, Mr. Peng did not blame Liu Kunmo, but advised her to live well.

There were no children in both marriages, and Mr. Peng simply put all his father's love into the adopted children, and even in order to help his niece Peng Gang, Mr. Peng also did a "violation" of his own principles, which made him regret it afterwards.
It was in 1963, when his niece Peng Gang got married, and as an uncle, Mr. Peng prepared bed sheets, quilts and other newlywed supplies for Peng Gang, but Peng Gang had not been assigned to the house, which made Mr. Peng a little worried, because he had to go out on a mission and serve as the commander-in-chief of the third-line construction.

In his later years, Mr. Peng often explained to his niece Peng Gang the arrangements for his posthumous affairs, hoping that he could be buried with his brother, but his wish was not implemented until 1996, and he was not buried in Babaoshan.
