China Youth Daily client news (China Youth Daily, China Youth Daily reporter Wang Haihan Wang Lei intern Cai Hailong) For wanqing, a post-00s student, this Spring Festival is undoubtedly special. The location of the festival has become the Winter Olympic Village, and his identity has also been added to the level - the Logistics Support Volunteer of the Winter Olympic Games. He lived in three shifts, 8 hours a day.
He is from Huangshan University's 2018 hotel management major, and more than a month ago, he and 29 other classmates came to the Winter Olympic Village to work as a service worker.
In the winter Olympic village fitness and entertainment center building, disinfection and cleaning, management of locker room keys, packing and processing protective clothing, etc., has become the task of Wanqing. He wants to walk around the venue to provide a safe and clean environment for the residents and staff who come to the stadium. During the intermission, he had to change into a second set of protective clothing. "I work a lot of night shifts, and I have to disinfect the instruments I have used and the parts where the instruments are used frequently." Wan Qing said that whenever he put on protective clothing, a sense of mission suddenly emerged.
In August 2021, the School of Tourism of Huangshan University received a letter from China Huayou Group, a service provider of the Winter Olympic Games and a strategic cooperation unit between schools and enterprises, hoping to select a group of graduates with strong political skills, proficiency in foreign languages and superb professional skills to participate in the winter Olympic services. After careful organization and screening, 30 students from the Tourism College of Huangshan University formed a winter (paralympic) Olympic service team and went out on the expedition. They were assigned to apartment buildings, fitness and entertainment centers, resident service centers, financial warehouses and other positions in the Winter Olympic Village accommodation service team.

Tai Yingzhu, a 2018 hotel management student, is located at the Residents' Service Center, which is the first stop for residents of the Winter Olympic Village to arrive at the accommodation area, and the task is to distribute keys to delegations, responsible for answering inquiries, lost and found, complaint handling, meeting booking, etc.
At the end of the day, she said, the "seven-step handwashing method" had to be repeated more than fifty times. In order to reduce the inconvenience of putting on and taking off protective clothing, she drank less water and went to the toilet as little as possible to improve work efficiency.
These days, Zhao Lin, a hotel management major, has a new understanding of professional practice. "In the past, when I saw the country holding major events, I thought about glory, but this time I personally participated in it and felt the hardship behind the glory." Zhao Lin is responsible for the front desk work of the fitness and entertainment center, and must be familiar with the location information, floor arrangement, equipment arrangement, etc. in the entire fitness and entertainment center venue. "My hope is that Chinese Olympic athletes can win more medals."
Also assigned to the front desk of the fitness and entertainment center is Yang Xueting, who usually gets up at 5:30 and takes the Olympic line to the Olympic Village. When residents enter, Yang Xueting and others will take the initiative to greet, greet and make records.
"The professional practice of hotel management not only tests the ability to serve, but also the ability to adapt quickly to new environments." She sighed.
Cheng Yinping was assigned to work in the apartment building, inspecting the rooms every day, cleaning the guest rooms, halls, and transporting linen. "In the process of service, there is more responsibility and patience, less complaints." Cheng Yinping said that this service has sharpened the will and improved the level of professional technology.
Yang Hui, a hotel management major from the 2018 class, has also gained growth, and he has to disinfect and clean the places and items that residents can access such as fitness equipment, ground, elevators, etc. every day, and take about 20,000 steps per day on WeChat.
What made him feel most deeply was the first time he put on the second-level protective equipment to work, even if he was mentally prepared, but when he really put on the second-level protective equipment, he quickly felt the sweltering heat, and sweat dripped down his forehead. Therefore, he has more admiration for those front-line epidemic prevention personnel in the news, and he also has higher requirements for himself.
Xiao Tingting works in the fitness and entertainment center and will be responsible for different work tasks according to the work schedule every day. When working in the entertainment center on the second basement floor, Xiao Tingting, wearing protective clothing and isolation clothes, will feel breathless and her clothes will be wet with sweat.
"For this practice, although I will feel hard and have encountered trouble, but the logistics always have to be paid, I will still maintain enthusiasm and go all out to stand on every shift." She said.
Zhang Shuai, a 2018 hotel manager, is currently working as an apartment building supervisor in the Winter Olympic Village. On January 19, the wind was cold, and a new batch of supplies was about to arrive at the Beijing Winter Olympic Village. Because of the retreat management, each building can receive goods for 2 to 3 people. As a supervisor, Zhang Shuai took the initiative to ask Miao to collect the supplies. In the process, the personnel of each building help each other, and when they encounter large supplies, all the consignees help a building together.
The goods were received all night. At 6:40 a.m. on January 20, the last truckload of supplies arrived. "After the receipt, I can almost stand and fall asleep, but it is worth it to win glory for the school and the motherland." Zhang Shuai recalled.
In recent years, graduates of the School of Tourism of Huangshan University have performed brilliantly in major international events and conferences such as the G20 Summit, the World Expo, the WorldSkills Competition, and the Winter Olympics. This is not only a demonstration of the achievements of IFT in professional reform and innovation, deepening school-enterprise-school-site cooperation, but also a vivid practice of Huangshan University in cultivating application-oriented talents.
"In the Winter Olympic Village, we are no longer students who study in the classroom, but participants in the olympic concept of 'green, shared, open and clean'." These days, Wan Qing always thinks of what he said at the expedition ceremony. He spent his 22nd birthday in the Winter Olympic Village.
On the evening of February 4, when the Winter Olympics opened, Wan Qing wrote in the circle of friends: "I was still young when I was young at the 2008 Olympic Games, and I was fortunate that I was able to participate in it in 2022." From the campus classroom to the big stage of the Winter Olympics, he felt that he should seriously set an example and show the good mental outlook of young students.
