Lou Ying | from treasure boy to immortal taigong

Louta is the southernmost thousand-year-old historical and cultural town in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou, and the ancient qu is a national intangible cultural heritage, and is the "golden business card" of Xiaoshan and Hangzhou. The fame of the tower and the birth of The Detailed Juban are related to a man named Lou Ying more than six hundred years ago.

In the field of ancient Chinese medicine, the most outstanding representative recognized by the world is Li Shizhen, whose "Compendium of Materia Medica" is regarded as the "Holy Code of Medicine". Many people do not know that Lou Ying is as outstanding as Li Shizhen, and Li Shizhen's "Compendium of Materia Medica" is actually written with Lou Ying's "Medical Compendium" as an important reference.

Treasure Boy

How powerful is Lou Ying?

As a descendant of The Wu Yueguo general Lou Jin, Lou Ying grew up as a true "treasure boy": he could read at the age of four and read Zhou Yi at the age of seven. While a child of the same age was still playing with the mud, he had already begun to nibble on the tome of the Four Books and Five Classics, while learning astronomical geography. When he was thirteen years old, Lou Ying's mother fell ill and was cured by Dai Yuanli, a famous doctor in Pujiang, and Lou Ying had the idea of practicing medicine to save the world.

When the twenty-year-old Lou Ying began to receive treatment, he showed superb medical skills: diagnosing the disease to the point, and treating the disease with a clever hand. One after another, Lou Ying's reputation is getting better and better, no need to play medical advertising, nor do you need any traffic recommendation, there is a nickname - Jiangnan famous doctor.

Lou Ying is known as "Immortal Taigong"

How red is Lou Ying? Even Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang had to find him to hang up the expert number!

The thing is this: One year, Zhu Yuanzhang suffered from a stubborn disease, and the imperial doctors in the palace all said one after another, "I am also helpless." In a hurry, Zhu Yuanzhang ordered a nationwide search for civilian medical experts. Someone recommended Lou Ying, and Zhu Yuanzhang ordered Lou Ying to enter the palace.

After Lou Ying received the treatment, Zhu Yuanzhang's illness quickly improved. Zhu Yuanzhang wanted to stay in Lou Ying to work as an imperial doctor in the palace, but Lou Ying had little interest in glory and wealth, and what he was thinking about was how to improve his medical skills and better cure the poor people in his hometown.

Soon, Lou Ying asked to return to his hometown in the name of old age and illness. Stepping onto the land of his hometown and breathing in the free and fresh air, Lou Ying couldn't help but recite the poem inscribed on the Xianyan Rock by wang Bo, a great poet of the Tang Dynasty, when he traveled to the tower: "The majestic and strange stone stands on the creekside, and once secretly marched the king to fish for flowers." There is an ancestral hall in the east and a temple in the west, and there are flowers under the Qingfeng Rock. ”

The country house is long. Lou Ying deeply understood the truth that "no inch of yin should be light", so after he took a short rest, he immediately began to return to his old business and treat the villagers. People see that Lou Ying, who was the imperial doctor of Zhu Yuanzhang, does not have a little bit of arrogance of "I am a master and a master", he is still as gentle, meticulous, patient, considerate and responsible as before, only charging a meager diagnosis and treatment fee, for patients with financial difficulties, they will be taken care of by reduced medical fees. In Lou Ying's eyes, whether it was an emperor or a beggar, there was no difference, no matter what status, he was equally dedicated to treating them. With reverence and gratitude, people gave Lou Ying another nickname, the Immortal Taigong.

Outside the clinic, Lou Ying either went up the mountain to pick herbs with a bamboo basket on his back, or sat at his desk reading and writing.

When he looked through the medical works of his predecessors, he suddenly felt that he had some new insights and new methods that could be left for reference by other doctors. From this, he had the idea of writing a book, so that after his death, the valuable medical experience he left behind would indirectly benefit future generations.

After that, Lou Ying began to write every day. There is no invitation from a well-known publishing house, nor is there a generous remuneration, but Lou Ying writes day after day with great enthusiasm, and this writing is thirty years.

Louta Senraku "Hoso juban"

Lou Ying is not a workaholic who does not understand the taste of life at all. In his leisure time, he likes to gather with a group of friends who share the same hobbies, play various instruments, and play beautiful music. Lou Ying combined the music he heard in the court with the local folk music, and discussed and pondered with his colleagues, and finally formed the Louta Xianle "Fine Juban".

There are a lot of bamboo in the tower, and in the spring, the bamboo shoots break out of the soil, fresh and lovely. Lou Ying told people that bamboo shoots, a natural green ingredient, are the "vegetable king" in the spring, which has the curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine and can be eaten more. He also told people a lot of TCM dietary therapy methods to make people eat delicious and healthy.

On November 19, the second year of Ming Jianwen (1400), Lou Ying died peacefully at the age of sixty-nine.

Prior to this, in the twenty-ninth year of Ming Hongwu (1397), his forty-volume tome "Outline of Medicine" had been completed.

Many years later, a man named Li Shizhen drew nourishment from the heavyweight work of the medical community, "Medical Compendium", and created another "hard-core" work in the medical field, "Compendium of Materia Medica". Lou Ying and Li Shizhen are two dazzling superstars in the ancient medical field of the mainland.

After Lou Ying died, he was buried with his wife on a hillside called "overturned medicine bottle" next to the Shangwu Reservoir in the northwest of the tower. At that time, the two literati, Wang Jing, a scholar of the Hanlin Academy, and Chen Yuan, a scholar of the Hanlin Academy, wrote the tomb name and tomb name for Lou Ying, and gave great praise to Lou Ying's medical skills and character. The local people also built ancestral halls and memorial halls for Lou Ying, and the village where Lou Ying lived was also renamed Lou Ying Village.

Lou Ying Ancestral Hall

Every year on the 15th day of the 3rd month and the 19th day of the 19th month of the lunar calendar, it is Lou Ying's birthday and death anniversary, and the people around the tower will spontaneously hold large-scale sacrifices for Lou Ying. The "Lou Ying Festival" has been passed down from generation to generation. Nowadays, the "Louying Festival" and "Louying Traditional Chinese Medicine Internal Medicine", "Louying Legend" and "Louta Detailed Juban" have all become intangible cultural heritage at the level of Xiaoshan District.
