On the evening of February 4, the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics was held at the Bird's Nest at the National Stadium. Just now, accompanied by the music of "Singing the Motherland", two flag bearers, steel frame snowmobile athlete Zhao Dan and speed skater Gao Tingyu led the Chinese sports delegation to the entrance. As the host, the Chinese sports delegation was the 91st and last delegation to enter the athletes' entrance ceremony at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics.

At the Beijing Winter Olympics, the total number of Chinese sports delegations was 387, including 176 athletes, which was also the largest winter Olympics in the history of Chinese sports delegations.

With the entry of the Chinese delegation, a large snowflake was also constructed in the bird's nest. This "big snowflake" is composed of all participating countries (regions), and the names of all countries (regions) are on it, and it is composed of olive branch patterns, which means "Concord Wanbang".
