Wright: Hopefully Pepe will get more opportunities at Arsenal and he'll have to do better himself

Arsenal star Ian Wright recently spoke about Nicholas Pepe in his podcast show Wright House, where he believes the player deserves more appearances.

Wright said: "Until now, the way Arteta uses Pepe hasn't made me think he likes this player. Pepe missed a lot of games and I think it was his last chance. ”

'I want to see him come up with something and see how he does in the Africa Cup of Nations, I think the defenders at the Africa Cup are tougher, they're athletic, they're smart and they're good.

"You need to do more with a defender like that and looking at Pepe doing pretty well in the Africa Cup of Nations, why can't we get him to play like that at the club?"

"Does that mean having him play The False Nine, or playing the role of a free man who can take the ball and hit an opponent?"

'I think Arteta has to try, the team's goals have to come from Smith Ro and Saka, hopefully Martinelli can contribute to that as well, but none of them are players who have proven themselves like Aubameyang.
