The Chinese women's volleyball team has been the coach for a long time, and only these three people have "entered the palace twice" and served as the head coach twice

A few days ago, Cai Bin, nicknamed "Little Zhuge Ge", officially took over Lang Ping and became the new head coach of the Chinese women's volleyball team, which will lead the women's volleyball team to the Paris cycle. With the appointment of Cai Bin, among the successive managers of the Chinese women's volleyball team, the number of people who have been in charge of the team twice has also increased to three, and they are Cai Bin, Lang Ping and Hu Jin.

Cai Bin

Born in 1966, Cai Bin, with a height of 1 meter 80, was once the second player of the Chinese men's volleyball team. In 1989, Cai Bin entered the national team, and after retiring in 1996, he immediately became the head coach of the Shanghai women's volleyball team and started his coaching career. After serving as the head coach of the Shanghai women's volleyball team, he led the team to win the A League championship four times. Due to his excellent coaching performance, Cai Bin has been the head coach of the women's volleyball national youth team since 1999. In 2009, Cai Bin took over Chen Zhonghe and officially joined the Chinese women's volleyball team. But soon because the Chinese women's volleyball team lost to Thailand in the Asian Championship, Cai Bin, who was not rewarded, left office. Now, after 12 years, the 55-year-old Cai Bin has once again taken charge of the women's volleyball team and has also ushered in the opportunity to prove himself.

Lang Ping left office

Since Yuan Weiming took charge of the women's volleyball team in 1974, more than a dozen people have served as the head coach of the women's volleyball team so far. But in addition to Cai Bin, only two people have served as the coach of the women's volleyball team twice. The first is Lang Ping, who has just left office. Born in 1960, Lang Ping was a world-renowned "iron hammer" during his athlete years. After helping the Chinese women's volleyball team defend its title at the 1985 World Cup, Lang Ping left the national team and gradually stepped into the coaching position. In 1995, Lang Ping was invited by his mentor Yuan Weimin to serve as the head coach of the Chinese women's volleyball team for the first time. After the 1998 World Championships, Lang Ping stepped down as manager. In 2013, Lang Ping, who witnessed the defeat of the Chinese women's volleyball team in the London Olympic Games, resolutely decided to go out of the mountain for the second time, picked up the coaching whip of the Chinese women's volleyball team again, and led the team to win the 2015 World Cup, the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and the 2019 World Cup championships. After the Chinese women's volleyball team of the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games was out, Lang Ping announced his resignation.

Hu Jin (right) and Wang Baoquan

The second is Hu Jin, the current head coach of the Sichuan women's volleyball team. Hu Jin, who was born in 1955, is 5 years older than Lang Ping and 11 years older than Cai Bin. Although he has also been selected for the Chinese men's volleyball team, he and Cai Bin are completely two players of different periods. From January 1989 to March 1993, Hu Jin served as the head coach of the Chinese women's volleyball team for the first time, but voluntarily left the post because of poor results. In March 1999, Hu Jin, who wanted to prove himself, succeeded Lang Ping and once again became the head coach of the Chinese women's volleyball team. But with the defeat of the Chinese women's volleyball team at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, Hu Jin was immediately dismissed. Hu Jin, who has been the coach of the women's volleyball team twice, has not succeeded, which is also a major regret of Hu Jin's coaching career. Subsequently, assistant coach Chen Zhonghe took office, and also opened the glory of the golden generation of women's volleyball teams such as Feng Kun, Zhou Suhong, Zhao Ruirui, liu Yanan and so on.
