On February 2, the Guangxi District Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Guangxi Youth Federation decided to posthumously award the "Guangxi Youth May Fourth Medal" to Comrade Ou Baoer, deputy director of the Diandu Fire Rescue Station in Dahua Yao Autonomous County, Hechi City, who died in the fire fighting, and Comrade Wei Jide, a full-time firefighter of the government.
On January 31, 2022, Ou Baoer and Wei Jide died tragically and heroically in order to save the lives and property of the people in the process of fighting a fire in a private sofa production workshop in Laotun, Gugan Village Bureau, Dahua Yao Autonomous County, Hechi City. At the time of his death, O'Paul was only 26 years old and Wejid was only 23 years old.
At the moment of danger, the two comrades, O'Paul and Wei Jide, gave the opportunity to "live" to the masses, left the danger to themselves, and used their lives to practice the Zhengzheng oath of "loyalty to the party, strict discipline, going to the soup and fighting the fire, and serving the people wholeheartedly", which fully embodied the spiritual qualities of the young people in the new era who are not afraid of difficulties and obstacles and have the courage to take on the initiative. After research, the Guangxi District Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Guangxi Youth Federation decided to posthumously award Opaul and Wei Jide the "Guangxi Youth May Fourth Medal".

Ou Baoer, male, Zhuang ethnicity, born in December 1995, Huanjiang, Guangxi, a member of the Communist Party of China, was the former deputy director of the Electric Fire Rescue Station of Dahua County, Hechi City Fire Rescue Detachment. Comrade O'Paul has participated in nearly 300 fire fighting and rescue operations, and rescued more than 100 trapped people.

Wei Jide, male, Zhuang ethnicity, born in August 1998, Guangxi Du'an people, a member of the Communist Youth League, was a combatant of the Dahua County Diandu Fire Rescue Station of the Hechi City Fire Rescue Detachment. Since joining the company, Comrade Wei Jide has participated in more than 60 fire fighting and rescue cases, and rescued more than 20 trapped people.
At about 23:00 on January 31, 2022, a fire broke out in a private sofa production workshop in Laotun, Gugan Village Bureau, Dahua Town, Dahua Yao Autonomous County, Hechi City, and 7 people were trapped, and the Diandu Fire Rescue Station was ordered to the scene to rescue. The internal structure of the fire building is complex, with a large number of flammable materials such as sponges, wood, leather, etc., which produce high temperatures and a large amount of toxic fumes. O'Paul, Wejid and other comrades formed a search and rescue team and went deep into the burning building under the cover of water guns to search for trapped people. In the process of search and rescue, the scene exploded, and comrades Opaul and Weijid were seriously injured, and after the rescue was ineffective, they died heroically. None of the 7 people rescued were in danger of life.
The video records the last figure of the hero, who rushed into the fire in the fireworks of the Chinese New Year's Eve night and finally collapsed in the fire. Their young lives, along with the dissipation of fireworks, vanished in the middle of this night.
On February 1, the door of the brigade where the two firefighters were stationed was filled with bouquets of flowers sent by the crowd to mourn. "On the night of the reunion of all the families, you are fearless and retrograde." "Unmasked, deeply favored, the hero went all the way!"
