The torch "flies" out of the speed of youth

author:China Youth Network

On the morning of February 3, the Torch of the Beijing Winter Olympics was passed in Badaling, and a familiar post-00s appeared, she was Yang Qian, an athlete of the national shooting team and Olympic champion. She happily "compared hearts" to the Winter Olympic athletes.

Last year, along with the post-00 sharpshooter, there was also Yang Qian's same "champion nail art". At the torch relay site, Yang Qian also showed her new nail art to the reporters present - orange and white as the main colors, dotted with orange patterns. Yang Qian said: "This nail art has the meaning of wishing to be done, and it also symbolizes a blessing. ”

When the taste of the Year of the Tiger has not yet dissipated, the torch relay that began on the second day of the Lunar New Year has become the most concerned news of the Winter Olympic Games. It is understood that there are about 1200 torchbearers of the Beijing Winter Olympics, and the youth representatives of the post-90s and post-00s like Yang Qian make this event full of young enthusiasm and passion.

On the morning of February 2, a young man in a police uniform held up a winter Olympic torch.

"My name is Zhang Qi, and I am a science and technology police officer from the Police Support Detachment of the Tongzhou Branch of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau." Zhang Qi often uses this sentence as an opening statement to introduce himself. Most of the time, tech cops like him rarely appear in the sight. This time is an exception - on the morning of the 2nd, as the No. 116 torchbearer, he participated in the Winter Olympic Torch Relay in the Olympic Forest Park.

"We are actually all around you, and we have been guarding everyone with technology." Zhang Qi said that what they have done is to use scientific and technological information means to compete with criminals, race against the time to solve cases, and look for clues in complex information.

After the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Zhang Qi "retrograde" upwards, day and night, went deep into the front line, built more than 20 prevention and control data models, played a huge role in the actual battle of epidemic prevention, and won the title of "National Advanced Individual in Fighting the New Crown Pneumonia Epidemic" in 2020.

Individual cases also have great significance in the eyes of "data scientists". Zhang Qi refined the most applicable techniques in similar cases, created 42 types of actual combat tactics, comprehensively promoted the use of public security frontline, and increased case handling efficiency several times. "It's like the police got the formula for solving the case in the process of investigation." Zhang Qi said.

Zhang Qi grew up in the tide of scientific and technological development of smart policing. He often thinks about how to pass on the "torch" of the business in his hand, let the "tinder" of science and technology illuminate and protect more police workers, and also find more fellow travelers for himself.

On the second day of the Lunar New Year, Yan Xinzhuo, a police officer from the Haidian Branch of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, held up a "flying" torch in the Winter Olympic Park. Until the torch in his hand was safely passed to the next stick, Yan Xinzhuo had not yet seen the Spring Festival Gala of the Year of the Tiger. Chinese New Year's Eve, he was responsible for order maintenance and traffic diversion tasks around CCTV on Fuxing Road until the early hours of the morning. Recently, he was separated from the much-anticipated Spring Festival Gala only by a wall.

This is the norm for a civilian police officer to Chinese New Year's Eve. Yan Xinzhuo has spent many such nights: when he was still a police officer in the Huaqing Jiayuan community, he often led patrols in the middle of the night and inspected the doors of more than 3,200 households. Check it twice on Fridays and Saturdays.

"When I came here to 'pipe pieces', everyone still thought I was a hairy boy. Over the past few years, his efforts have been recognized by the residents of the jurisdiction, and he has gradually developed closer relations and established trust with them. Yan Xinzhuo said.

Although it was only a short relay distance of more than 50 meters, running intact for a while, Zhang Chi was still very excited and felt unfinished. As the 357th torchbearer at the Winter Olympic Park, Zhang Chi, a young engineer from COMAC, hopes to share his joy and pride with more people as soon as possible.

"It is a great honor to represent young science and technology workers as the torchbearer of the Beijing Winter Olympics." As a young engineer, Zhang Chi has participated in the demonstration of the next generation of regional airliners and Long-range wide-body airliners between China and Russia, and is the chief engineer of the pre-research project of COMAC Beijing Civil Aircraft Technology research center. He said the hydrogen torch in his hand made him deeply feel the warmth of the Winter Olympics and the temperature of technology. The torch relay means the transmission of spirits, but also the transmission of emotions.

Amphibious robots and underwater variable structure robots complete torch relay underwater, and Zhang Chi is very interested in such scientific and technological highlights.

"I am very much looking forward to the athletes of the Winter Olympics writing new glory, and I believe that during the Winter Olympic Games, we can not only see the heroic posture of the athletes, but also feel the great changes brought by science and technology to our lives." He said that participating in the Winter Olympic torch relay also encourages young scientific researchers to respond to the call of the state and strive to achieve scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement, integrity and innovation.

Speaking of torch relay, the most eye-catching thing is the Winter Olympic torch itself called "Flying". On February 2, Li Jianye, the designer of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Torch, also participated in the torch relay at the Winter Olympic Park.

"I may be different from other torchbearers, I am more concerned about the quality of the torches in everyone's hands, don't make mistakes, don't make problems." Li Jianye told the Reporter of China Youth Daily and China Youth Network that as the designer of the torch appearance, he personally experienced the torch relay process, watched the torchbearer holding the "flying" in his hand, passing the Olympic torch one by one, and once again recalled the days and nights when he designed and modified the appearance plan of the torch, and his heart was both excited and proud.

Li Jianye introduced that breaking through the closed shape of the traditional torch, "Flying" is a torch with open form and inclusive posture. Inspired by the Chinese cultural idea of "Tao fa nature, the unity of heaven and man", the flying torch draws inspiration from nature, presents an extremely natural and oriental beauty, and conveys the value proposition of a community with a shared future for mankind.

As the designer and torchbearer of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, Li Jianye said: "I think that at the moment of the global epidemic, the 'flying' torch also conveys the vision of China and the people of the world to a better future together. Look forward to the moment when the torchbearers will light the main torch tower with 'flying' at the opening ceremony, and cheer up the Winter Olympic athletes! Come on beijing winter olympics! ”
